Cracking day out on Saturday.
As soon as the second goal went in there was no way back for St Johnstone.
Anderson and Reynolds were solid as fuck and there is a frightening amount of pace on the coutner for the Dons at the moment.
Tynecastle was absolutely bouncing too, great atmosphere. The amount of people falling down the stairs at the goals was a sight to behold. Guy standing next to us ended up about 5 rows down when the second goal went in, chap at work broke his leg too.
Poor show with the lack of food available though. I'd had nothing to eat all day and about 10 pints so was gasping for a pie.

I always recommend Fusion - they played at my wedding. It's half of Eskimo Blonde - you'll find them online - contact the singer Mike.
Good mix of pop tunes and the odd Scottish dance. A lot of the people that came to my wedding booked them off the back of it, which speaks volumes.
Had a search for them, seem to be a couple of fusion bands in Aberdeen....

Tried to PM but says you are unable to receive messages?
Mac
Should work now!

That's my point, I certainly won't be paying 2k for a band.... extortionate.
Hence the request for alternatives....

As per the title?
Getting married soon and have been getting some horrendous quotes from some bands. Surely someone on here can point me in the direction of decent bands in the area?
At this rate it'll be a laptop hooked up to Spotify

The guy from Steps had a better singing voice than Ben.

I actually sat and read this whole thread again, hilarious.
Haven't seen Ben for AGES, who knows what has become of him!

Finally got round to reading Crime (started it years ago). A pretty enjoyable read, especially with all the references to FIlth throughout.
Has he got anything new in the works?

Four crackers from the Dons last night, some strike from Hector. Hopefully keep up the good run on Saturday.
Partick looked pretty good in spells too mind you.

Anyone fancy a game footy tonight at goals at 9.15?
A few of us are off to the Dons game so there are a couple of spaces...

Has anyone on here ever had a pickleback shot? It's a shot of whisky followed by a shot of pickle juice. Sounds disgusting but tastes amazing. If it's a good brine with lots of flavour and a good whisky the two compliment each other perfectly. A homemade version would just be to pour some of the brine from a jar of gherkins. Try it.
A few places in Aberdeen do these now and even have their own pickle juice (Tippling House and Musa). I've tried a few but get heartburn after too many....
Apparently all the rage with you guys in Poland.

Roll on hometime....
I'm off to the Black Isle beer festival up in Inverness until Sunday.
Guaranteed to piss down all weekend.
And I'll miss the Scotland game tonight, which is a bonus!

I found out yesterday that the Deeside Beer Festival in Potarch is happening on Saturday so I'll be going there since it was an ace day out last year. Anyone else likely to head along?
Forgot that beer festival was on, thanks for reminding me.
I'll probably pop along, was very good last year!

You can never have enough cowbell...

Friday: Heading out with some old Uni friends after work to catch up and have a few beers (and hopefully some food as I can't drink for shit these days).
Saturday: Maybe head to the bookies for a flutter on the fitba then have a wedding dance to go to in the evening at the Rox Hotel.
Sunday: Be hungover / play football terribly (as usual).

To be fair every time I've seen them he doesn't really talk to the crowd, usually just the one long rant like this week.
I quite like the fact he batters on with the songs.

Well that was a pretty damned good concert! A 2.45 hour set although I am struggling this morning.... 4 hours of sleep just doesn't cut it anymore.... better load up on the tea this morning.

Went to see 'Fire in the Night' (Piper Alpha film) at the Belmont cinema last night.
A well made piece all things considered although pretty harrowing.
There were people in tears throughout the whole thing (I manned up though).
Had to go for a beer after.

Totally forgot I'm going to see them tomorrow night in Glasgow!
Good job I logged in here and read this thread, looking forward to it now.

New tour announced this morning (think I'll go to the Glasgow gig):
And a new bass player....
Aberdeen Celebrities!

I've spotted another local celebrity who has been christened 'matrix man'.
He wears a matrix style full length leather jacket (too long in the arms) and is seen walking up Hutcheon Street every morning.
I don't know if he posts on here but he looks like a total boss (GBOL).
Haven't spied any other local celebs recently, poor show.
