We'll probably do a similar afterparty to Less Than Jake, with the back room being VIP.

The same back room which now has more bench seating for your added comfort.

well, i hope the bands are a bit nicer than less than jake, the biggest bunch of tossers I have had the misfortune to meet, especially the lead singer.

it'll be good to see how these upcoming gigs go in moshulu anyway :D

    what is the capacity anyway?

I myself think moshulu is very samey i think no dj is really pushing the boat out and playing a good variety of music!!

that is what i think what do you guys think?

i didn't want to enter into a moshulu/palace battle it is you guys that have started that!!! so obviously no one is happy with moshulu or you are all lieing fucks!!! wannabes!!!

i was mearly expressing my views bitches!!!

lets just stick some rage on and have a pit that'll put a smile on my face!!!

yes, I agree, the music does get very samey... but it is the same dj's as in the palace..... so you can't really use that as an argument. yes, there are no mosh pits now... but they were ususally full of knobheads in the palace who thought it was an excuse to have a fight and didn't know how to handle themselves, or those around them.

yes the palace was ace, i spent 6 years going to that place and loved it. moshulu is still a good venue though, and the management team are switched on enough to know what people want and try their best to provide.... give them a break.

stop havin such a chip on your shoulder and slagging people off left right and center. yes, you have your opinion and people should respect that, but to be honest, you are the one coming accross as a pretentious tit... with your 'holier than thou' attitude, thinking you are THE MAN.... thinkin your are old school.....

and please.... rage against the machine.... BORINGGGGGGGGG, how often have you heard them..... you want diversity... yet want to hear rage AGAIN! music has moved on since then....

anyway, yeah, nothing against you personally.... just chill out a bit dude....

    Rob.

no problem at all, I will easily do that one night.

I agree with what you are saying though.... maybe your side of the argument wasn't put accross to clearly at the start, but hey, at least this has been a good debate. :dunce:

  4. It's not just so called 'neds' that cause problems though!!!!! many 'alternative' kiddies are also just as big arseholes..... you get arseholes wherever you go. And I don't really think moshulu has a problem with 'neds'.

And I hardly think moshulu has a great deal of trouble anyway (well, i've never seen much)...... I think this has all been blown out of proportion, as you mentioned before, it's up to the people on the door to make sure the people you guys don't want in the place don't get in.

Although, I don't think it's wise to start piegon holing people and possibly alienating a number of people or groups who attend moshulu regularly. Then you'll be left with a half empty club on a friday instead of a full one.

as i said before, it's all common sense (in my opinion anyway)

surely this debate is a good thing though?

For Example, in this thread I was arguing for turning away the classic hardcore ned, pissed up and out of his mind on drugs, which I don't think anyone would argue with. And you and Rob were arguing thinking we were going to start banning shoes and having elitist door pickers, which again is perfectly rational for you to argue against.

So, lets pick differing, irrational points of view to all take and have a nice fun argument. :dunce:

    Rob

i agree that these messageboards allow stuff to be easily taken out of context.

but i suppose it is a good thing really, as it allows you (the management) to get feedback from us (the punters) regarding issues you are thinking about relating to moshulu etc.

no-one will ever agree on everything 100%, but it's good to get feedback from all quarters, both positive and negative.

I just think all that is needed on this dress code, is a bit of common sense. it's surely easy enough to spot a knobheab trying to get in. i mean there are plenty of knobhead's who go to moshulu who aren't ned's anyway ;) some, so called 'alternative types' or whatever the fuck everyone is classed as these days....

Personally, I've had more trouble from the macho, white vest, meathead brigade at Caged than I have from anyone who "looks" to be a ned.

Common sense on the door and keen bouncing should be all that's required, not some restrictive and cliquey judgemental door policy. Should the likes of Yates or Revolution stop me on the door because I look like a "rocker" who will probably get sauced up on Jack, grope the women, and start fights with the guys....?! It's bad enough having to resist stereotyping in the workplace, let alone on a night out when you're supposed to be relaxing and enjoying yourself.

Taking judgements based on appearence is exactly what racists do. Now tell me how you justify doing this in ANY shape or form?

wow, the first person to agree with me!

i have NEVER seen them actually doing their job if any trouble happens, they are usually asleep in a corner paying no attention whatsoever.....

but hey, that's just my opinion, I think a dress code is a shit idea, but it aint my club ;)

    that's you guys job.....

but i was just thinking, i'm going to a wedding next weekend on friday, so if i came to moshulu afterwards in my suit I wouldn't get in?

  8. i think it's a shit idea.

several of my mates wear burberry stuff and other 'non alternative' stuff, but still come to moshulu and enjoy it and cause no trouble...... doesn't mean they are neds cos they wear certain clothes...

I think it comes down to the bouncers actually doing their job instead of wandering around all night not caring a jot if there is any trouble.

    common sense really.
