  1. I'm down in Roslin Street, so not too far from the exchange.

Finally got through to them.... my internet was at 0.3 Mb/s for downloads..... shite.

They reset something and it ramped up to 6.0Mb/s.... for a whole day.

Now back to the same shite.

My landline is always crackly as hell when I use it too.... I suspect a problem with the line?

I wish I had my work connection:

  2. I'm not blaming the fans entirely, although I accept I sound like it....but I do think we're harder on our team than most, and I think the evidence shows it's utterly counter-productive.

Every single club in the world get pelters from their fans. Aberdeen FC are no different. People pay their money they have every right to complain.

The problem with AFC is that Stewart Milne came along and pissed away millions of pounds on shite players/managers in order to try and keep up with old firm (Paul Bernard, Brian O'Neil, Tzanko Tvetanov, Alex Miller et al anyone?).

He got us into crippling debt and now we are in a vicious cycle and can't get out of said debt. Dick Donald would be spinning in his grave.

  3. The board at AFC are a disgrace. Nothing will change while there is no change at the top.The same thing will happen to every manager.

Brown may have signed some good players, but they are all central midfielders.

Added to that half the team are playing out of position.

Our defence is so slow and we still have no full backs. We have no wingers. We have an array of shit strikers.

It was obvious which areas needed strengthened and it hasn't been done. No brainer.

  4. That is going to be about the standard attendance at Pittodrie this season. Sad.

I remember cup games against lower league teams when I was younger you'd still get over 10k.

Aberdeen are getting relegated this season.

Craig Brown has made an utter erse of the close season, signed mince and the lack of creativity and width is coming back to bite us.

    What's that now, 2 wins in 16 or 17 I think.... dismal.

    Well done East Fife though.

  5. Last weekend I went to the ice cream place from the Philly episode. He didn't do a challenge there, it was one of the places he visits before the showdown. It was awesome. I've made it my mission to go to as many of the places in the show as possible. Been to the Curry house from the new york episode and going to the gravy sandwich place in Brooklyn next week. This is how sad I am: I tried to get off work to go see the filming of the Harlem episode. Had too much work on so couldn't go though. All I want is to be able to cheer on a man eating 10 kilos of animal! I also want to start going to the places from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives too but they are all in backwater towns and I don't have a car so it'll be a bit hard.

Have only been to Katz Diner in NYC. They also need to make new Man V Food, seen them all too many times now. He needs to do a European series or something different.

Triple D is the business. Watch it every night. I do wonder if they ever eat anything they hate though? Everything is always 'money', 'rockstar' and there is ALWAYS a 'kicker' to every dish.

  6. But Hockey games are universally awesome.

At least they were back when I played video games. I hope they haven't moved on to actually being about hockey rather than fighting and pushing people through glass windows.

NHL on Megadrive. I spent DAYS on that in uni.

  7. I think we can get into the top six with the existing squad. A good run of form in the post international break

Hopefully the players will be getting put through their paces during the international break as some of them look woefully unfit. Clark and Mawene in particular seem to be struggling.

The lack of depth in the squad is pretty grim, a few injuries and we are in the shit.

Arnason and Osbourne look the part though.

Hibs next weekend is a biggie!

  8. yeah i should make myself clear, this is not a dig really at dons fans, its just the way things are for our club, i didnt mean what i said to come across as me looking down on those who dont go or anything like that.

Not in the slightest! It didn't come across like that :)

This weekend is as good a chance as the Dons have had in while to get something at Ibrox, can't see it happening though.
