aye and "when i were a lad", it was also the place to go to see the current line up of the great aberdeen bands... there was a time where every week there were local gigs on.. and every week a different line up (similar to the fudge thing now i guess but more frequent and not as 'well organised')... but in recent years the local scene took a back seat to a programme that was trying so hard to offer something for everyone that it failed to appeal to anyone... the lemon tree will be sorely missed.... not to mention the st andrews ale...

ah kerbdog, certainly to mind one of the 'other' best rock bands of the 90's. i once asked for kerbdog at exodus and was told that they were a second rate therapy?, its a fair point of view i guess and probably one which stopped them from marching to the success they deserved back in the day but if you havnt heard them or have forgotten them try and track down the first album, every tune is spot on and well worth a listen.... therapy? were awsome, ooo those controversial t-shirts always f-ing and blinding... ooo

last nights gig reminded me of the old music hall gigs when the support band would play to a seemingly empty hall before the headliners performing to a packed venue... course it didnt help that betamax format were the support band.... (tough crowd) cracking set from the wedding present tho.....
