  1. that was just the booze talking
  2. I've always thought machine head are pretty dull, never really understood the attraction. I bought Burn My Eyes when it came out, sold it shortly after. I used to have more patience with Pantera, they don't really catch my interest anymore either. Both bands seem to influence every metal band that I don't like, so I begrudge them that aswell.
  3. Hi folks, Does anyone out there have a 4-track gathering dust that they would like to be rid of? I'm not looing for anything particularly fancy, just something cheap(ish) that works fine. Anyone who can help please PM me - i can collect from anywhere in Aberdeen. Thanks, Paul

  11. Cheers for the advice guys. We've had to decide to abandon this idea for now as it happens, so won't be buying anything for now. Thanks again.
  12. Stripey - didn't you use my thread (i asked for ISP recommendations last week) to call somebody a "fucking packet watching nerd"? Negativity?
  13. I'm looking to get some sort of equipment for a young drummer to practise on at home. He's just starting out so we don't want anything too expensive/flashy. Also, we live in a small tenement flat, so it has to be fairly quiet! Any suggestions? A few folk have recomended the yamaha dx (is that right?) electronic kits, but 500 is way over our budget. Any advice from those of you who are in the know will be much appreciated.
  14. Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'm still thinking NewNet, though the UKFSN deal is a close second. I'm going for NEwNet because (a) I've read more positive comments about them than any other low-cost ISP (b) their service only costs 17.49.
  15. After months of stress with tiscali, I've decided to jump ship. Can anybody recommend a reliable ISP? I'm looking for 2mb speed, around 30gb monthly usage and hopefully under 20 a month. At the moment my most likely choice is NewNet (the Home S package). Any ideas folks?
  16. I've not heard the most recent LP, but the Weakness 7" is just wicked. Not that i like the Exploited at all, but I couldn't care less about that.
  17. That was the song, my mistake! Knew it was one off Feeding.
  18. Saw them in the Cardinal's Cap, Canterbury, a number of times with various local supports. They were always tight as fuck - used to do a wicked cover of 'so what' (crass). Sure I saw them at the Lido in Margate once too, but can't remember much about that one as I was fairly fried. Just listened to the mp3s on their Myspace - bit dissapointed really, don't like them at all. When I stayed down south (Dover) there was little to no HC interest/presence, so maybe they just didn't have much competition! Maybe they were just better ten years ago. Who knows.
  19. I've seen Knuckledust a handful of times - about 9 years ago, mind. They used to be pretty raging.
  20. Bump - auctions all just away to close!
  21. The spite record's good - ex-chaos uk members, fast and thrashy
