  1. No worries. If saturday's a pain in the arse, I can easy meet you some other time.
  2. I should add that I'm not looking for any trades
  3. Cheers mate, that would be grand
  4. Bump! I'm open to offers for this one...
  5. thanks for the offer Sam, I odn't think I could use this though. If it didn't have a huge hole for the tuner display, that would be a different story.
  6. Thanks for all your interest folks, I've PM'd you....
  7. Reluctant sale of my Ibanez S570, bought as new around 2001 for between 700-800. Haven't seen many of these going around, especially with this finish. It has been well played and gigged on a few occasions. Despite this it is in good condition - has a few minor scuffs and marks but nothing significant. The neck feels great, plus it's light - really comfortable to play. I chose this over other Ibanez geetars, as it seemed to make a wider range of sounds than other models. Has a single coil pickup aswell as two humbuckers, locking bridge and nut, floyd rose tremelo. I'm a fixed bridge kind of guy now, so I'm sure someone else could make better use of this than me. £300 - includes hard case Here's a link to some more info about this guitar... http://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/S570 Please PM if you're interested.
  8. Sorry, I should have specified that I'm not really into the multi fx things, so I don't think I could use the gx700. They seem to go for much more on Ebay though, you could make a few quid on there! Pm'd you about the guyatone... I'm mostly gonna be butchering things for parts and/or to re-use the cases, so would be looking to pay absolute bottom dollar. So, if anyone has any deeply shit sounding pedals that they can't shift by any other means, let me know
  9. I got a les paul studio in there for a good price. Apparently they've got a massive store of guitars somewhere, but I couldn't convince them to look for anything for me.
  10. I'm on the scavenge for fx pedals for use as spare parts. If anybody here has any fx units at all, doesn't matter if parts are missing or if they do not work at all, I would be interested in taking them off your hands. I'm mostly interested in anything in a metal enclosure, particularly wah pedals. I'm willing to pay for anything I can use. Please fire a PM to me here if you would like to get rid of some of your junk!
  11. Ronz - I think I've PM'd you, this site's changed since I used it last! Let me know if it hasn't come through.
  12. I'm trying to build some fx units, but am struggling to find and pay for some of the parts I need. If any of you kind souls have any old fx pedals (or other similar) that are broken, unused and would be willing to give them away, please PM me. Any pedals in any condition, any age, any type, would probably be great, even if the only useful part is the metal case! I can collect from more or less anywhere in the city, evenings/weekend are more likely. thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.
  13. PM'd, thanks Pete. I can kinda see the point about it not being a pricey guitar in relation too some LPs, but it's pricey to me. I got it very cheap (I think), which makes it even harder to replace in my book. I certainly wouldn't be able to buy another at any point in the foreseeable future (or find another at the same price!), so a £100 fix makes sense at the moment.
  14. I've heard amazing things about Mr Moon, think I'll stay local(ish) though. Kinellar prices seem to be in the same ballpark, which suits me fine, and will save me two trips down to Glasgow. It will be a structural fix, rather than a cosmetic one too.
  15. Thanks for all the advice folks! Also had some very kind offers of assistance, so thanks for those too. After reading a bit more about this on the web, a number of folks seem to think that necks/stocks can be even stronger after a good repair! Most of these folk seem to be in the business of repairing though, so not too sure. I've found a luthier in Blackburn who might be able to help with glue and some pins for a reasonable price, so I might give them a try first. The place is Kinellar - http://www.kinellarguitars.co.uk/ Anyone have any experience of these guys?
  16. that links quite reassuring. That's a a bit less than I was expecting to be honest, but he is still just gluing it. Can't say that I'm bothered about the finish either, so I guess it would cost less than that too. Maybe having the finish touched up would give a a bit of extra strength around the crack too?
  17. My guitar (a les paul studio) took a serious tumble just before my band's set on Saturday night, which left a deep crack in the back of the neck. The headstock pulls forward under any kind of tension, so it's totally un-usable. It's a great guitar and I'm gutted that it's knackered, at least for now. Here are a few pics of the damage... I've found some vids on youtube showing how to glue the headstock back in place and clamp it for a day or so to let the glue set, but I'm a bit concerned that this would be a fairly temporary fix. I need a guitar that can survive travelling to gigs in a car boot and survive some man-handling if it's gonna be of use to me. A few websites have suggested that more can be done, but don't really say what. Needless to say, I can't afford an expensive repair right now, but can't afford a new guitar either. If anyone can offer some advice on what to do with it now, I'd be really grateful.
  18. The amp's paid for, but I still have this guitar that I no longer use. I'm no longer desperate for cash, but am open to offers. If you're interested, send me a PM.
  19. I'm looking for a second hand EQ pedal - preferably a Boss GE-7, though I'm open to others too if the price is right. On a tight budget, so can't consider anything over 50, I'm looking to pay less than this. If you have one going spare and have a price in mind, PM me.
  20. Kybosh - I didn't mean to cause any offence, I do appreciate the advice. The reason for my penny-pinching is a severe lack of pennies, so I'm forced to look into alternatives. No option. Any latching footswitch should work, so should be easy enough. I was hoping somebody might have one that they no longer need, or goes with an amp they no longer own. Anybody?
  21. I'm hoping to avoid paying close to 25. Found a few on Ebay for around a fiver, think I'll pick one up there.
  22. I looked them up quickly, looks like they are are not latching, so probably wouldn't work with my amp (an orange). thanks all the same though.
  23. I'm looking for a (latching) footswitch to use a channel change with my amplifier. If anyone has one gathering dust and would like rid, PM me!
