  1. sort of, i'm shooting something just now although it's a little bit scary, don't like speaking about it cos it'll go tits up.
  2. it impede's me because i'm such a shy wee thing.
  3. When I was 14 I wanted to sing in a band called Radio Freya. There is no Radio Freya though.
  4. Actually the person who sold Paul McCartney's cold was pretty genius. He'd gone to some town to see Paul McCartney play and he'd had to pull out because of flu. Then the guy who'd gone to see him got flu, made the connection that he'd somehow caught it from Paul McCartney, sneezed into a sealable sandwich bag and sold it for (i think) 1.45.
  5. Yeah definately. It's up there in my top ten I'm sure. I'd never be that good.
  6. WHAT THE FUCK?? That's really worth $575?? Until now my favourite ever e-bay auction was for a date with a tramp but that wins hands down. This is my favourite bit: One day I made over $1,000.00 standing outside a grocery store pouring the Magic Alien Air over groceries. It really made people happy to see one bag of produce become a pickup truck full of food. Keep in mind that after other people and their kids started growing over 8 feet tall I was forced to leave the community.
  7. I was really disappointed the last time I saw them because they didn't seem to care, just played the songs and left. But they're still awesome, one of those bands I listen to rarely then can't take their cd out of the player for weeks.
  8. someone tried to teach me once before, it was hard for me!! I've no idea about music at all. I can make good videos though.
  9. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4179877.stm what a fool!
  10. I think you'll find it worked quite well last time. I'm sure there aren't that many people out there who can be bothered making you a mix cd if they're not gonna get something in return. This way you get to check out heaps of new stuff.
  11. I know! I mean, it's a small venue but that's just insane!
  12. try start up the Tape Swap Club MkII or is it MkIII now?
  13. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the food in The Monkey House was. I'm also quite a big fan of the old Hogshead because it's always quiet.
  14. For the barfly gig before anyone gets too excited! How ridiculous is that? Fucking touts.
  15. What is it with bands splitting up just now? Mclusky! Ikara Colt!! Guillaume Scene!! It's just a big joke I hope.
  16. I too had forgotten about the wonder that is GCG. I want it back.
  17. Oh I forgot to say, if you don't know London well, invest in an A-Z or aska cab driver for directions because they pretty much know everywhere. Don't bother with the Millenium Wheel, it's been there for years now and there's still hour long queues.
  18. I just wrote a fucking huge list and lost it and am already very jealous of you so grrrrr. Covent Garden, loads of street artists, cool cafes, very relaxed, Neal Street is heaving with great shops, Urban Outfitters, Superlovers, Rokit and Rough Trade. The Rough Trade shop is downstairs from a skate shop, if you can't find it, the best thing to do is ask the staff somewhere else and they'll direct you. From there you can walk to oxford street then up to Tottenham Court Road, home to the Astoria (my favourite venue ever) and Mean Fiddler (right next to each other) and check out a gig there. Booze is not too pricey. Here's a link to what's coming up at the Astoria If you like comics check out Forbidden Planet at Shaftsbury Avenue, it's a huge store so be prepared to spend hours there. Another cool comic shop is Gosh at 39 Great Russel Street. Camden is worth checking out at the weekend, Underworld is there and they have some great gigs with up and coming bands. American Apparel just opened a store on Carnaby Street which I've yet to visit but I'm told it's pretty cool. The Old Blue Last at 39 (or is it 38?) Great Eastern Street is a pub which Vice Magazine bought a couple of months ago. There's always something going on but never really anyway of knowing so it's worth just turning up for a pint. The Natural History Museum is great if you can handle kids and tourist, the Dinosaurs are GREAT!! Trash at 18 West Central Street is a great club although maybe not what you're into. Check out the "freelondon" community on LiveJournal because it's always got info on up and coming events that are lowkey, intimate and pretty inexpensive. Anyways, since I don't know what the purpose of your visit is, or how long you'll be there, I'll leave it at that or I'll go on forever. Have a wicked time. *muchos jealous*
  19. yeah it's prob cos a heap of the seats have been sold, they always go up nearer the time.
  20. No i don't remember but I'm sure they're fine enough!! Typical those two journeys are the most expensive ones now!
