  6. UoK were tremendous tonight.... Muse + NIN = Union Of Knives. No drumkit. Full laptops + Keys etc. Station:Project were the other support tonight that I caught. Apparently about to sig to Sony BMG. good stuff
  7. Can i just say that Union Of Knives were brilliant this evening in Glasgow. Imagine crossing Muse with Nine Inch Nails. Image and stage show was also great. You really will miss out by not being there tomorrow night. Album out in May.
  8. I bet the bands end up in the Bassment afterwards
  9. Narc ~ i`m no longer booking Moshulu i`m afraid.
  10. If you like Americana.. check out Okkervil River's latest offering. Number 2 best Americana album of 2005 accordig to Uncut. Also reviews in Rocksoud / Mojo / Plan B etc. Can't remember the name of it. Check amazon or the likes. edit: "Black Sheep Boy"
  11. Recomend the following. New= Just out / newly released / import only etc Old = 3 years old + Borrowed = Something "borrowed" from a friend you don`t wish to give back as it is too good. Poo = Something that you bought that you`d thought youd like but don`t like or are totally not sure of. Something Old - The Police "Outlandos d'Amour" - First Police album regularly overlooked as Regatta and Zenyatta are two brilliant albums by a band that are completely different when you compare album tracks to the singles. Something New - Julia Thirteen - "Album" - Just brilliant. This has taken ages to record and will hopefully be out in June. I listened to it 7 times over when I received a copy. Something Borrowed - Rosie Thomas "Songs Could Be Held" - My favourite artist that i`ve ever seen in King Tuts. Soaring female vocalist who sound like Lisa Simpson. Something Poo - Eighteenth Day In May - Now i should really really like this as it`s folky and the sort of thing that i grew up with but at times it's way to feedle deedle dum. Maybe better live than on record. [cut n paste] Something Old - Something New - Something Borrowed - Something Poo -
  12. Louie were surprisingly good in King Tuts last night. Loads of on stage energy and two frontmen. The sound engineer they have with them is Bars from Lightyear. In the audience last night was Jim Gellatly, Alan McGee, Carl Barrat (Becoming a regular at KT) and Neil Lennon.
  13. More European festival appearances have been announced for TOOL, including a slot at this year's Reading Festival in England and a scheduled performance at Pinkpop in Holland. The group's schedule is now shaping up as follows: Apr. 29-30 - Indio, CA @ Coachella Festival Jun. 2-4 - GER @ Rock am Ring / Rock im Park Festivals Jun. 3-5 - NETH @ Pinkpop Festival Jun. 16-18 - Interlaken, SWI @ Greenfield Festival Jun. 29 - Jul. 2 - Roskilde, DEN @ Roskilde Festival Jul. 4-8 – NOR @ Quart Festival (to be confirmed) Aug. 25-27 – Reading, UK @ Reading Festival
  14. I can't believe i forgot about Orson. My Bad!
  15. Dresden Dolls will play Moshulu on next tour I imagine. in September/Oct
  16. There is no "House" equipment in Tuts and never has been. It would have been one of the other band's.
  17. For it reminds me of The Bassment... or more acurately the other way around. Imagine my surprise when i venture downstairs this evening to be confronted with The Arctic Monkeys, We Are Scientists, Mystery Jets and The Libertines and barely anyone hastled them. Lovely stuff
  18. The Lodger are a good band. Managed by Nick at Cool Delta
  19. http://www.myspace.com/bulletsandoctane Listen to "My Disease."
  20. If you`d been at the foyer's FREE workshops you would now know ALL about advances and the record industry. Yet again aberdeen bands avoid something that is 100% free and regret it later.
