  1. Thousand Corpses is a damn cool tune, lots of great ideas. What I did think was that the pre-chorus section where it seems to hang a wee bit too long on one chord could do with a beasting little riff over it to really build up to the chorus (which is awesome btw ) There is some incredible guitar work on there but I can't help feeling that a lot of the time it isn't really taking the song anywhere. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't dream of playing any of that technical stuff as well as you guys, but I always think that a well written solo has much more impact than a purely flashy solo. There are a few moments, for example with the sweeping line at the beginning of the solo where it almost overstays its welcome and I was really urging it to go somewhere else. When it actually does move it sounds great but I think by repeating the sweep to many times it sort of loses its impact. Thats really just a minor issue and once again, the playing is absolutely awesome, but it would be made even better by injecting a few more ideas. Hope that makes sense and didn't come across as anything other than considered feedback - can't wait for this gig now, I'll be watching very closely to try and steal a few of those licks for myself
  2. Go for it man!! Feel free to use any of those photo's of us... except one's where Erskine looks stupid Good luck!!
  3. They look like this! Go Here for more info!!
  4. Indeed, Man of the Hour are amazing. If you're a fan of kickarse rock music then this gig is not to be missed, you'll struggle to see a better live band.. and of course we're playing too
  5. www.myspace.com/blackatom Please come and visit us - we are lonely PS Sorry if someone from the band has already posted this but I can't be assed looking.
  6. None of the touring support have had to pull out yet then? No spontaneous combustion of drummers or anything else that might stop them playing the gig and open up the opportunity for a rockin' local support slot? Just curious....
  7. Black Atom - www.blackatom.co.uk Playing a wide selection of material from the new album and heaps of older tunes too in a full-on rockin' set - who know's, there may even be a cover or two thrown in for good measure. Man of the Hour - www.manofthehour.co.uk Man Of The Hour draw their influences from Heavy Metal bands such as Manowar, Judas Priest, B.L.S., Thor, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Black Sabbath, Anthrax, Cathedral, High On Fire & Sabbat, creating a heavy riff based sound filled with duelling lead guitar solos and ear splitting screams that is best described as Heavy Metal. These guys rule, we've played with them before and as anyone who saw them that night will testify they rock like mother-chuffers Everwicked - www.everwicked.co.uk Born from the ashes of Addicted To Chaos, Everwicked take the blend of old school and modern power metal and define it further creating an exciting sound in a sometimes repetative genre. Expect guitar wizardry and plenty of power from the Gable-Endie metallers
  8. It would seem that the aweome everwicked photo doesn't like being linked too - if any of you guys have one then shove it up here Forgot to mention - Man of the Hour are from Edinburgh, and they are huge down there so don't miss this rare chance to see them in Aberdeen.... for only 2

Expect guitar wizardry and plenty of power from the Gable-Endie metallers I'm sure you'll agree, never have a finer collection of Metal poses been brought together (well, not for at least 20 years ) This gig promises to be a beast - and only 2 on the door - Woop!!
  10. There probably all going to be standard black t-shirts of size L for now cos these are the ones that 99.9% of people prefer - rather too big than too small When we get a little more cash behind us then we'll start branching out to skinny/fitted girly t's and also some different sizes/colours. Cheers for all the interest guys!! We'll hopefully get these moving soon (probably as soon as my next bursary payment goes in )
  11. Cool - thanks! Yeah, we'd love to put the artwork on the back but have you seen it?!?! Its got like 35 million colours, would cost an absolute bomb unfortunately.
  12. Well... sort of - its been reduced to 8 If you don't already have it and are interested in a copy then now would be the time to buy! If you want a copy then One-up should still have some and they are also available in Captain Tom's and on the fat hippy website here. The online price is only 7 I believe On another note, I have some prices now for getting T-shirts done (at last) - its looking like costing us more than I expected so at the moment we'll only be able to make 20 or so at a time at most and then use the money from those sales to buy more and so on. Who would be interested so that I can have a rough idea of numbers? The design will most likely be: a plain black t-shirt with the logo from the cd in white right in the middle of the chest. Not very original I know but simple is always best. We'd be looking at a price somewhere between 6 and 8 depending on the final deal we get on production so who wants one?
  13. www.blackatom.co.uk It gets updated every so often www.myspace.com/blackatom for some free tunes
  14. I'll vouch for that Its going to be a lot of fun anyway - whether anyone's there to see it or not is another question.
  15. Nobody think "Just Another Band From LA" is worthy? Amazing concept album about Billy the Mountain and his adventures with his tree wife Ethel.
  16. Right' date=' I've been biting my tongue for a while now but here goes: Len didn't [i']offer you guys this gig - he is in no position to offer the gig and I'm sure he wouldn't do that. He suggested that you go for it and try and get on the bill but we have no say in any of this. We can't do the gig - that is where our role in this whole thing ends. If you want to get on the bill I reckon you, as suggested a couple of times by other people, go and talk to someone from Pure Lead. We cannot, and will not, be held responsible for organising gigs that have nothing to do with us. We are not your pimps and I suggest that you guys sort this out through pm's rather than drag us through it all. Thanks.
  17. I think he may mean Word Up?
  18. Hmm, there might exist a recording somewhere of us doing the Brave, did we actually play it live? God, i can't even remember. I think we probably recorded it at some point in practice but that'll be hidden away somewhere on a random mini-disc. As for Hangar 18... that would be awesome - 27 guitar solo's anyone? hehehe
  19. Overture Overture Overture!!!
  20. Happy Birthday mate - even though I knew all along today at College and chose to wish you Happy Birthday after you reminded me it was today and not tomorrow
