as i have very few i'm going to start writing the fudge awards piece. remember any classic fudge moments of good acceptance speeches? here's what i remember... 1. fudge invading the stage during the last stacatto set song to provide 'handclaps' and grin at the drummer. 2. big bad throwing kris watson's most fightable awards into the sheep pen (VIP area), who promoptly threw it back. 3. those road hoardings keeping the riffraff out of the sheep pen. genius, and looked very 'fudge'. 4. i believe maxi orwell fell on his arse while rocking the house? 5. and mart deadloss chipped a tooth on the mic? how very much like his normal stage persona 6. we overran by an hour or so! well done us. still, probably not entirely unexpected, eh? 7. ...... please continue this list for me .... anything you thought deserves a mention and should be recorded for prosperity in our write up .... ???????????????

i don't have one. a can croak a little though. it feels like i've been swallowing live hedgehogs. and my body aches all over.

... helped out for the fudge awards last night. that means rob and ross for the vast quantity of work they did which ensured the venue looked fucking brilliant, you got lots of food, and you had snippets fo the nominees to enjoy. the sound crew and all those who loaded PAs, hung lights, soundchecked bands, ran the stage and cleared shit up at the end. the waiters and waitresses, chefs and cooks. the charming barstaff (whom i hope you tipped ocasionally), and all the rest who staffed moshulu last night and ran it fairly smoothly. alun elizium, your dj for the night. shelly, our beautiful hostess, and james for producing the endless stream of awards and envelopes. orwell, stacatto set, and the gloria flaw. all of whom played blinders i thought. apologies for invading the stage during stacatto sets final song in order to provide that much needed 'drunken random clapping' element we felt was sorely lacking in their otherwise perfect song arrangement. i think that just about covers it... oh, and all the people who turned up and rocked in the spirit of fudge.

talking of which, did anybody get a video of the speech? i'd like to transcribe it for the zine article on the FMA'04 in fact, any videos would be greatly appreciated. it'd be nice to see how the awards look from the other side of the stage. for, like, future reference - so we can speed em up or slow em down...
