  2. On a related note I by far agree with the title of this topic
  3. I've got to be honest and say I've not seen a bad tribute band, but Blackened weren't that good. I ain't gonna be as harsh as Tav: The singer was ok and he could play guitar, but we couldn't hear the bassist, the drumming was slow and the lead guitarist was total out of time and didn't play half the solos right. Half of the songs were even missed out, Am I Evil for example. Occasionally some good bits shone through, but it was so bad at one point we couldn't stop laughing
  4. Allergic to all things heavy metal I take it? Can't believe it was that long ago. I remember driving along in my car listening to Cemetery Gates, so sad
  5. If you want to find out other bands similar to those you like, type it in and away you go... www.pandora.com
  6. Room On Fire was far better than Is This It imho
  7. The comfiest and most durable pair of shoes I have owned were Globes

    Sick

I saw that in the paper. Talk about taking it too far
  9. The Darkness have a myspace account, and what I find hilarious is all their "friends". Do these attention whores actually think they know them in person?
  10. I hate Adv H English, probably because I passed the critical essay part 50%, and failed the other bit by just 2 marks. I worked my ass off for the final exam which I'm positive I did better in, yet I didn't even get a D. Appeal didn't work. And my Disseratation was damn good. I think they mark Higher and Adv H too harshly. I know a lot of people who are good at English who got low grades
  11. Fit time? Typical I'll be working Saturday
  12. At first I though One Way Ticket was just ok, and ripped off I Believe In A Thing Called Love a little. Now I prefer it! Hazel Eyes is my favourite just now, I can see that being a single
  13. Absolute Legend. The best. And my favourite along with Mike Portnoy
  14. Nope, but I'm sure my dad has somewhere My Darkness album arrived today, pre-ordered it over a month ago. Just ordered Steely Dan - Katy Lied, and bought Bon Jovi - Have A Nice Day last week edit: forgot, I also finally got Ozzy's Blizzard Of Ozz
  15. I'd say it is less copycat than Permission To Land, though there are still the obvious influences. It sounds more diverse and maybe slightly less rocking (not that I personally see that as a bad thing). Justin is a lot more ambitious with his singing. I though it was ok but disappointing on first listen, second time brilliant, on my third just now. Can't wait to get the vinyl for christmas
  16. I'm being awkward, I just trust Yamaha. The entry level C40 is very good so I know the dearer ones will be acceptable. There are about 10 models in my price range, process of elimintation time!
  17. Mine arrived today after I couldn't find the DualDisc in the shops. Got it off play.com for 13.99. Typical One Up got it in on Wednesday for 11.99, they reckoned it would cost over 15! Anyway it is really good so far. Will take many listens before I give my verdict on it in comparison to Mezmerize
  18. I was shocked to find out this was U2. It's a terrible song
  19. I have between 200 and 250 to spend on a new classical, more specifically a Yamaha classical, but they have heaps of different models. What are the best quality finishes, woods etc I should look out for?
