  1. I'd think Derek Adams of Ross County is a better bet
  2. I moved to Aberdeen in 2001 I think... and the first cds I bought were Mogwai - Cody Sigur Ros - gtis byrjun Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary Bought them all around the same time, so i'm not sure what one was first
  3. It was a bit of a Aberdeen-muso-stalker's dream... about 10 or so Abdn-music posters at the same tables. Good times
  4. It was signed and sealed when I exxxxclusively revealed on here the other day... there was just a wee bit of bother about whether the 250,000 odd was to be paid in one go or installments. They couldn't unveil him until that wee hiccup was sorted out. My source is a good un, who's never been wrong. If you look at the SFA heirarchy and consider where i'm from... it's pretty easy to guess who my 'contact' is
  5. Nope... but not too many subordinates down the chain of command
  6. I know all the websites and newspapers are saying 'Craig Levein appointed in the morning' etc, so they can say they had the first scoop... ...but I can officially say that he has signed the contract! My man in the know, who has given me SFA scoops in the past regarding lineups, backroom/playing squad sqwabbles (sp?), has just sent me a text to confirm that compensation has been agreed and he'll be unveiled in the morning. Delighted! He'll have a huge say in how the youth development programmes are run in Scotland as well; which is great news for the long term.
  7. I bought a ticket for my sister's xmas the other day from OneUp... so I reckon there'll still be some left.
  8. Off the top of my head, the gigs i've enjoyed most this year are: Errors Dananananaykroyd Dinosaur Jr, Public Enemy, Peaches, M83, Weezer, Jimmy Eat World and Simian Mobile Disco @ Fuji Rock Gatechien Idlewild Frightened Rabbit
  9. I wonder what the odds are on 'Killing in the Name' being no.1 next xmas?
  10. It had crossed my mind as well... I'll be gutted if it is like, as ICT have apparently just loaned out Gavin Morrison and Shane Sutherland to Elgin; so was really looking forward to seeing them play.
  11. Ditto. Unless ICT beat Dundee next weekend and Craig Levein is unveiled as the new Scotland manager

    Pet Hates!

It is indeed utter tosh. But unfortunately i'm having to drag myself through watching each episode as there's an Elginite in it (Robert Jack, who plays 'the hard guy' soldier). He's an ace guy in real life, who's just in a really crap show. But if I bump into him in Elgin over xmas, I want to be able to say something positive about the show, other than 'you've got a convincing Glaswegian accent'.
  13. This. Or Symposium - One Day at a Time Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American RATM - Evil Empire What a night btw! How many years ago was that? After show party Pro-ev...epic red wine on white carpet stain... etc etc Good times
  14. I agree with everything that the Non-Dundee United fans have said so far Already paid for my SSC membership for the next campaign, so this will make it a wee bit more justified!
  15. I always thought Vietnow would've been a better option than KITNO for the xmas no.1 malarky

    Xmas social?

I absolutely loathe 'Feale Friday' but i'll be out and about in town for it I think the work meal is in the Carmelite, so will try and escape to the Moorings after it; in order to avoid the usual Union St carnage.
  18. I've had skitters with more braincells than the twats in that pub.
  19. It's been a hard few seasons for an ICT fan living in Aberdeen! I've given pelters to Esson, Byrne, Brewster, Duff and Phil McGuire when they were in Dons shirts... only for them all to sign for us soon after:down: In fairness Esson has been an incredible signing; he'll be snapped up by an SPL team soon. The least said about the rest the better... I fully expect us to sign the likes of Ricky Foster and Darren Mackie in the near future
  20. Wasn't there, but all reports of Duff's performance have been positive so far. He played in centre midfield today and linked extremely well with the front line and wide men. I'd rather him playing in the middle ahead of Proctor or Duncan
  21. Port-royal - Flares Oceansize - Frames Naan - i love you Immanu El - Moen Near the Parenthesis - Of soft costruction Dinosaur Jr - You're laughing all over me
  22. Stuart Duff helps ICT to a 1-0 win against Raith Rovers... Didn't think i'd be saying that this time last year!
