Stroopy121
I've fancied having a wee play about in this genre for a while. Looking for horns, clarinet, banjo, drums, whatever would fit really. No hard and fast rules, just some bippidy boppidy jams and fun times with a view to playing some cabaret shows and the like. I play bass. Xx

Stroopy121
Double bass?I've got a fretless that I'd be using at first, still in the process of getting my hands on an upright that won't bankrupt me! Xx

Stroopy121
Tromboner in the bag. Possible clarinet too. Any other interest? Drums and a cornet and we should have just about enough to get something moving! Xx
Bigsby
Will play banjo if you can get the others together.

vital spark
I'd be interested in giving this a go.I play alto and soprano sax.Currently play blues and rock/pop but also play jazz (of more modern type), but love Sidney Bechet (cheer myself up by playing 'petit fleur') and Louis Armstrong. I know the genre but have only a very limited experience of playing this style.
Stroopy121
Double bass? Was this an expression of interest in drum doody? Or just curiosity? That's completely fine, no experience necessary - I'm planning on this being a fairly laid back affair where we can just kinda find our feet as we go. xx

Stroopy121
Double bass arrived. Thinking about trying to arrange a wee jam next week. Will start sending out PMs and see what everyone is saying. Still looking for a tooteroo (trumpet or cornet) and drums. xx
Stroopy121
Bump. Had a practise today - banjo/guitar, sax and bass. Just playing some upbeat jazzy renditions of a few classics. Still looking for more instruments! Xx
