Paranoid Android
Very odd timing coming just after the news about Kim leaving. I assumed that was it all over for the band. It's not bad at all.
Surfer_Rosa
It's sounds like the Pixies doing a cover of The Fall. Which is the kind of thing I'd be in too.
Alkaline
It's ok, maybe not as immediate as their earlier stuff though. Kim was always pretty disposable in the Pixies though, Black Francis has never made a secret of that (Not that she's rubbish or anything in my opinion). TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I agree with the timing being odd. The song is alright, but I doubt that they'd ever go back to the sound of Surfer Rosa/Doolittle. Why should they? I much prefer Black Francis to Frank Black, I think the musical foil of Joey Santiago really lifts his song ideas, so I'd be keen more gets released. scottyboy
Pretty throwaway tbh, not impressed. I thought Kim wrote a handful of their best songs; probably why Frank Black Francis was so keen to portray her as "disposable".
