Every track that I listened to I was frantically trying to find the window that I'd left open that was playing different music. Is there an out of time church bell at the start of "White Walls and Golden Shores" or have my ears gone mad? I assume the melody is a conscious parody of Depeche Mode's "Just can't get enough"? In summary, I think you need to work on your skills as a producer...

Thanks for the feedback, not sure where you are getting the Depeche Mode reference from, if there is a hint of that it is completely unintentional. "White Walls and Golden Shores" is a track that won't appeal to everyone (but has been liked/favourited by a decent amount of people across the social networks) and that is the way I like to make music.

Please check out the new video for my song "Hide", filmed at various North Aberdeenshire landmarks....

Not a great track IMO,the big electronic drums don't go very well with acoustic guitar, and it doesn't disguise the fact that the song only has two chords in it. Not something I would listen to again. Kudos for the effort you've put into the video though.

I have a feeling I should know you. With a name like Duthie you've got to be from the Broch or Rosehearty or something.

I currently do everything at home, it's a steep learning curve and the technology is always evolving. It's taken me a few years to properly get a recording system in place that I am reasonably confident with. I would recommend checking out this site as it has pretty much everything you need to know about making your own music: http://www.futureproducers.com/forums/
