It's dedicated to showcasing local bands all across the world (we're opening up an International Section soon after a few more bands from outside of the US). It's totally free, we don't have pop ups or spam or anything like that. No ads on Band pages either. No spam, no nonsense, just music. Think I must just have misread or misunderstood.... Surely every band around the world is a 'local' band? Reckon I might have got hold of the wrong end of the stick good and proper on this!! LocalBandHero Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Share Posted February 25, 2011 LBH features local bands across the world (Like I said, we are opening the international section due to interest from some bands in Britain and Sweden mainly, but a few other places as well). As for the "Local Bands around the world" dilemna discussed above: the bands are "local" to some region. For example, you'll see on the site that in the US, the bands are split by state. So if someone likes local music, they can hop on and check some stuff out from their area or from other places. Mr. Knight, I apologize and the changes have been made to reflect that we want bands from all around the world. As for how it helps: I learned a long time ago that any publicity is generally good publicity. Will being on the site make you famous, or rich? Probably not.
