a band ive been listening to, and loving, for around a year now, and finally have managed to get them to Aberdeen :)

The British Expeditionary Force

As the band of which he was a founding member, yourcodenameis:milo, go into indefinate hiatus, producer/songwriter Justin Lockey returns with his new project. The BEF sees Lockey and Aid Burrows (My Architects) combine etheral soundscapes, sonorous guitars, beautifully fragile vocal and vocoder work, Lockey's now trademark sensitivity to drum sounds and Burrow's inclement lyrics together form something akin to My Bloody Valentine filtered through the best of Brian Eno with a smattering of the Icelandic inspired sonic vistas of Sigur Ros
