wifi signal booster?

is there such a thing?

my problem is that we have Netgear wireless in my house, however due to the thick walls (presumably) I have real trouble connecting to it from my room, which I'm wanting for my PS3.

Is there something that can boost the signal at all, and if so how much is it?

I've had a wee look online, but nothing is really coming up...

any help would be grand.

yup, i am able to connect it downstairs, just not upstairs, in my room.

i did actually see that pringles thing when i was browsing... bit impractical, though.

Go into your router settings and try increasing the signal range your router transmits. Also, try and make sure that there are no objects between the PS3 and router that may cause interference, i.e. microwaves, various electrical products etc.

Finally, if worst comes to worst, buy an ethernet cable. Although having a huge cable is a pain in the arse, it will be a lot more reliable than a wireless connection.
