Nirvana good band. Kurt Cobain good musician. Film? I don't know could be interesting or jsut a poor cash in. There's also one <maybe two> based on Jimi Hendrix's life coming out and it may star one of the guys from Outkast.

You can hate the band by all means, but you can't deny they were influential. And do you know enough about him himself to hate him so much? Cobain had a lot of problems, with a family history of alcoholism and sucides, parents divorce, sleeping rough etc. Massive sudden fame is hard enough to deal with without having so many problems to start with.

I don't want to start the old 'all addicts are losers with no excuse' debate, but do you feel this way about anyone who takes drugs? Or anyone who commits suicide? Or just him because of his songs? Surely there's a lot worse people out there to reserve your hatred for than some guy whose music you didn't like?

And if you believe his suicide note, one of the reasons he killed himself was not because he didn't care for his daughter, just the opposite. He said he couldn't stand to think of his daughter becoming "the miserable self-destructive, death rocker that I've become."

There is also the thought that maybe he didn't kill himself. At time of death, he had a massive amount of heroin in his system. If he took such a huge overdose, how was he then able to pick up the gun and shoot himself?

There's a lot Courtney's not telling.

btw she would like Ewan McGregor to play Kurt, apparently...
