Chris
So the new firefox update has installed and now it doesn't load any pages. IE seems fine so it's not a connection problem. Anyone else had this issue? I'm too hungover to fix it myself.

Frosty Jack
Funnily enough I just updated to 2.0 this morning and it went like a dream, sorry. Downloaded, installed and up and running inside three minutes, including extensions (Fasterfox and Foxytunes).Maybe it's Karma. What have you done? The 1.5 auto update fucked up and I downloaded 2.0 and it doesn't work either. I thought I was quite good last night, don't remember doing anything that would come back and bite me with karma. Chris
Click on the start button, then choose shut down, select restart.smartarse Yeah I've tried that. I'll have a proper look at it tomorrow. Really can't be arsed fixing it just now. It's strange that it's just stopped working after the update though. Neil
I never had problems with v2.0 of Firefox either although it is pretty buggy still. If I were you Chris I'd just un-install Firefox, delete the Firefox directory and start again with a fresh v2.0 install.
Cloud
By update, do you mean the 1.5.0.8 update? If so, it's working fine here.
The Kernel Loaf
Version 2.0 wouldn't work at all for me. It wouldn't load any pages and I couldn't close any tabs. In the end, I just reverted back to v1.5.0.8 and it works perfectly.

Frosty Jack
it appears the problem is cocking zonealarm. should've guessed.ZoneAlarm, or ZoneAlarm Pro? I found that whenever they offered me the free trial of the Pro version, it was a pain in the arse, but the free version is no problem. I'm running version 6.5.737.000 just now. Chris
it's the free zonealarm. fuck knows why it's blocking firefox, it's in the program list with full access.
Frosty Jack
Definitely Karma then.
Frosty Jack
You've probably tried them, but if not it might be worth having a look at the Firefox messageboards -http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38and the ZoneAlarm ones -http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/board?board.id=access
imprinted
Chris, I have the exact same problem, I normally run without ZoneAlarm being on but even so it still blocks FF access whenever I do an update.
