bryn Posted April 11, 2004 Report Share Posted April 11, 2004 I took back my delay pedal so I now have 100 to spend on my guitarIts an ibanez RG550 and I wana get a new pickup in the bridge for a harder / metal sound as the stock ones seem weakishCan anyone help? PaulDW Posted April 11, 2004 Report Share Posted April 11, 2004 The Seymour Duncan Distortion pickup is a nice pick up, great for that heavy sound, but its also cool in clean. Dan G Posted April 12, 2004 Report Share Posted April 12, 2004 I have a Jackson that cost 320 and I got an EMG 81 in the bridge and an 85 in the neck (Zakk Wylde's exact pick ups) and it sounds fucking awesome. Cost me less than 200 and makes the guitar sound like an 800 model...Oh, and go to Neil at Prosound music on Holburn St (right near the malt mill) He does a great job, and is very reasonably priced for Aberdeen.
