catherine Posted August 18, 2006 Author Report Share Posted August 18, 2006 it wasnt that bad. glasgow airport was dead by 8pm and there were no long waits or hold ups it was just really annoying having nothing on the planei had a bad cough and they wouldnt except turkish money so i couldnt buy any drink or food and couldnt take any cough medicine or throat sweetscoming back was fine though there were still armed police at the airport though Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Stripey Posted August 18, 2006 Report Share Posted August 18, 2006 So yeah, yesterday there was supposedly a terrorist on a plane...Within half an hour, we were told of a woman who went berserk on a flight and was found to be carrying matches, vaseline, a screwdriver, and not one but TWO letters mentioning al-Qaeda one in English and the other in Arabic. And then slowly these items disappeared and the story became one of a 60-year-old woman who became claustrophobic, causing the diversion of her London-DC flight to Boston. I can understand the confusion about whether or not a terrorist was on board this flight or if any of this was cause for concern.But where the f*ck did all that other crap come from?
