lepeep Posted April 2, 2006 Report Share Posted April 2, 2006 shitty shotty, I've just come back from the Pixar exhibition at the science museum (London), what a fantastic show...It’s all the drawings, mood boards, sketches etc of the films they've done, (and some bits from "cars", out in autumn 2006, I think).It’s just wonderful to see al the drawings and developments of the characters and sets...But the best bit is they've made a sort of a zoetrope, with hundreds of little models (most of the guys from toy story), it's a giant carrousel with all the steps / positions of the animation (jumping wheezy the penguin, the aliens, the toy solders parachuting etc, and they rotate it pretty fast, then switch on a strobe, and it's just bewildering, it's amazing...if anyone is down in London before the end of June, I'd recommend seeing it it's just inspirational, and aspiration.http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/on-line/pixar/http://www.moma.org/exhibitions/2005/pixar.html Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It was cool seeing the progression from their first few shorts like the toy soldier and lamps and how ahead of the time they were. Wish I could see this.
