ben_1903
And other news:New idlewild stuff will be more rocking than the last album. (not to say that warnings/promsises is bad, because it is amazing)less rocking stuff wil be released under roddy woomble's name and is written by him and the other rod from idlewild. NARC
You never mentioned to me Maxi, when you sent me Desalvo once, that Allan Stewart was in them! An interesting move, I never would have thought his delicate acoustic laments would have been subverted by drop-tunings
stuartmaxwell
he was in desalvo and fretlin (although i think fretlin have split now) before the idlewild thing, both having supported idlewild on tours n stuffhe was always mates with them and that led to him joiningalex from desalvo actually stood in for bob when he left on bass. Camie
I missed them last time which I was annoyed with. Good to hear they are returning.
NARC
Having read Roddy's online diary, I'm a little concerned that he appears to be completely ruling out the sort of musical direction that produced "Warnings/Promises", whatever you care to describe it as. It's a bit silly really that he is keeping the folk stuff exclusively under his own name; Idlewild as an exclusively "rock" band is not a bad thing (because they do rock better than most bands), but it still seems something of a "backward" step.... Larsen B
I'd be looking forward to a Roddy solo album as much as an actual Idlewild album.
NARC
I would look look forward to them with equal anticipation, yes.
