Alkaline Posted March 11, 2008 Report Share Posted March 11, 2008 Thing is he doesn't even imply that he's "edgy". Can people not just enjoy music for the music? His melodies are nice, it's easy to listen to and it's as good as Cinametic Orchestra etc for chilling out and unwinding to. I like a broad range of music and i need to listen to other things other than tech-metal and post-rock all the time. I like relaxing after work and tech-metal is certainly not what i would call "relaxing" music. Jack Johnson (in my opinion) is a good songwriter, has a fairly good voice and is a more than competant guitarist. He also comes across as a very genuine guy. Coincidentally i might never have got into stuff like Xavier Rudd (and anyone who's seen him live will know what i mean.
