PrincessHolly
I do believe it's also the most expensive advert ever made. I hope you've seen the cinema version! It's longer and better!

Frosty Jack
noituloveIt's from the 1969 film version of "Sweet Charity" starring Shirley McLaine and Sammy Davis Jr. The CD Soundtrack is available -http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=1033;-1;-1;-1&sku=99145This is the version used, but the song has been edited to fit better with the advert. This is roughly how it's been changed -Instumental Beginning - sameEdit out:"Daddy started out" section about spreading religion "pigeons waiting to be hooked on new religion"add rewind effect to instrumental then skip to:"And the rythm of life is a powerful beat... (note opening "and" removed)add spatial effects for outdoors, inside ice cave, etc.then Sammy lowers his voice for "is a powerful beat" - sameEdit out - "Daddy go" chorus and following section on visiting various towns.Edit following chorus and slow "flip your wings and fly to daddy"Edit out the Skee-ba-doobie-do, split it split itskip to reprise of "rythm of life" where it gets uplifting.Add in meteor effects, etc.Edit out following chorus of Rythm of life.Edit out section where Sammy starts to really belt it out.Add rewind effect.Skip to where Sammy begins to build quietly "flip your wings and fly to Daddy" up and up to where he really belts it -"Hit the floor and crawl to daddy!" - sameLet Sammy and the chorus chant out the end rythm of life, of life, of lifethen stop it on the first pauseEdit out the gospel "Yeah, let me hear it! Sock it to me" back and forth between Sammy and chorus.Insert Mudskipper blechEdit in a choral ending. As far as I can tell, this was just done to fit, and is not currently available in this form. Probably will be soon enough though. The making of the advert -http://www.guinness.com/gb_en/ads/current/evolution/evolution_TVadvert/making_of/
