I'm pretty sure Pete McConville of the Jinx has an oud (it was the one which was briefly in Cash Converters).

Just getting into Arabic music and it has open my eyes. The singing in particular impresses me.

I will have a look out for Abdul Gadir Salim's stuff, Oud's rawk
