Guest stuartmaxwell
emailed today with this....Free MP3 Download From New AlbumFollowing his critically acclaimed debut '5:14 fluoxytine seagull alcohol john nicotine', Malcolm Middleton (Arab Strap) returns with his second solo album 'Into The Woods' on June 13th and it surpasses all expectations. The pitch black, wry lyricism remains, but it's shot through with some gloriously upbeat melodies and a fervent eclecticism that makes the album a joy from start to finish.'Into The Woods' not only showcases Malcolm's undoubted talents as a musician - the superb guitar and beautifully crafted arrangements speak for themselves - but his ear for an irresistible melody and a sagaciously barbed lyric is what sets him apart as a uniquely gifted songwriter. Featuring guest appearances from Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite and Barry Burns, The Delgados' Paul Savage and his fellow Arab Strap collaborator Aidan Moffat, 'Into The Woods' is a breathlessly inventive album: funny and moving, melancholic and uplifting, it is without doubt, one of the best albums you will hear this year. Larsen B
He played solo before Arab Strap's gig at Kef a couple of years back and was pretty good even though i didn't know any of his songs. Tunnels seems like an ideal venue for him too.
