Goodman46
Can anyone tell us if it did sell out in the end? Seemed a decent crowd to me. Twas another fantastic show anyway!
Alan Cynic
It didn't see as crowded as the first 2 Lemon Tree gigs. Great stuff though, and very nice to see Johnny Echols on guitar!!!

Johnny almost stole the show out from under Arthur Lee's nose. From a strictly muso point of view there was also a veritable festival of guitar porn on display which got me all hot and bothered . Guest Gasss
I thought Johnny Echols dampened the whole band dynamic. He didn't engage with the rest of the band and only put any effort into playing his perfunctory solos which were totally overshadowed by Mike Randle. If he was an outstanding player I could understand the whole "dual pole" presentation but it seemed a little leaden, especially compared to their first two shows in the Lemon Tree. He also (like Arthur) seems to have been suspended in formaldehyde (or pickled) for the last 30 years....didn't look his age, anyway.
