  1. Hughes and kettner statesman. They are awesome. Have had a few fenders as well (pro reverb, deluxe reverb reissue and a supersonic)and they're very nice but the statesman has a clean channel that's splendiferous and a dirt and boost channel as well. They also take pedals really well. Plus they go for peanuts 2nd hand.
  2. we went there. It was clean, shiny and new looking and well thought out. decent environment for working on songs writing or a quieter type band. we wouldn't use it for a full out loud rehearsal. If you've got a loud drummer or mr marshall stack man. then the PA ain't gonna hack it. people were cool and friendly tho. I'd give it a shot if I was in an originals band that isn't about volume
  3. ok no worries. good luck with the hunt. Have you tried Oil City pickups btw? he handwinds em and is as good as any of the other hand winders imo, but is a bit cheaper than them. failig that irongear/tonerider are always worth a pop, plus don't rule out axesrus own pickups. Had a set of those, and thought they were pretty good tbh.
  4. Voodoo Vibe 4 piece covers band, female vocals. We try and avoid the cheese where possible, but do well known songs, often with our own take on em. www.voodoovibe.co.uk https://www.facebook.com/pages/Voodoo-Vibe/439242632806419
  5. have used strung out guitars in glasgow, and they have guys who repair pedals, and service amps etc. did a good job on a pedal of mine that needed fixing.
  6. Tried a Levinson blade? Not selling but they are awesome and 2nd hand bonkers cheap.
  7. Www.voodoovibe.co.uk Need to check we can do the date first but pm me if you're interested.
  8. I have a TC Nova IB modified Delay up for sale which you're welcome to have a no pressurised bash on. Its a superb pedal!
  9. Nothing on your list there at the moment kev that takes my eye. but thanks for the offer.
  10. thorpy sold. I do now have a Barber Small Fry up for sale as well, which is a superb drive pedal, and sounds a little bit different to the TS, Bluesbreaker, type pedals. Very nice pedal..
  11. Had a flashback, and its not as good as the TC nova or repeater. the tap tempo is a pain in the butt, and the controls are quite irritating if you need to make changes during a gig. I am selling a TC nova Delay IB modified if you're interested. Fantastic pedal, mint condition. Has a separate tap tempo switch, can save presets, and sounds awesome. Also contains built in modulation. Give me a shout if you like to have alook.
  12. HBE powerscreamer on hold, rest still available.
  13. at a festival a few years ago, the headline act guitarist let me use his matchless DC30.. Blew away everything i'd ever played before. Completely different level. I'm a valve man personally, but there are plenty of good solid state amps that sound great. most fender solid states are decent, the Roland Cubes, JC range, and the old sessionette amps are all very good and perfectly giggable. tried a blackstar ID amp couple of weeks ago, sounded very good to me. for the bang for buck they look very good. guess what I'm saying is that you're best having a look around, and playing lots of different amps.
