  1. Getting two kittens on Saturday. Which will probably hop over into the Pet-Hates thread, about when they tear up the sofa/curtains/bedding/me
  2. My first ever spot. Chris at a work training course. He opened with the line "You don't post on Aberdeen Music do you?" after writing my name on the name badge.
  3. The pet hate is still underlying. I hate organising holidays. Shall we just leave it at that?
  4. Organising holidays. I want to just book and go. I hate the micromanagement of ; Is X Chalet in La Plagne (for £495pp) better than Y Chalet in Tignes (for £729) but the Tignes one comes with half price lift passes
  5. 50" Samsung Plasma TV for half price, due to friends moving to America. Ace-ic
  6. Wait, the pictures on Gumtree - is that a picture of just the room? That looks the same size as my lounge. Sounds like they want a single to join in their saucy games : Available to couples No
  7. I think he means he doesn't have to front any cash, he only needs to pay the rent? I would assume if he trashes the girls knickers, he would have to pay something.

    Your current read?

Just finished The Curious Case of Spring Heeled Jack by Mark Hodder. A detective story, set in semi-aleternative history London. With a bit of Steampunk thrown into the mix. Reading Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovich. Another detective story, but with a wizard thrown into the mix! Next in line is Samuel Pepys diary, all 1000 pages of it. (side grumble, went into Waterstones on Union Bridge to buy it, and they only had the 300 page abridged version, so had to get it off amazon)
  9. But even then its easier than a 7 string guitar. Anyway, lesson booked for Tuesday with droid.
  10. I had guitar lessons at school and did guitar for standard grade music. But that kind of ruined it for me. So I thought I would take up an instrument again, and bass seems 33% easier as its 2 less strings.
  11. Where do I start? I have borrowed my friends Bass guitar, and have been looking at scales and learning them. But I just don't really know where to go from here. Can anyone reccomend instructors in aberdeen?
  12. Yangtze River for a cheeky Sunday Lunch chinese. It was amazing, Honey Chilli Chicken was nice and spicey. They also did a Dim-Sum, but I didn't fancy having the chicken claws - which apparantly are a delicacy.
  13. Finding my lost wallet, after cancelling all my cards. And having to eat the Humble Pie my wife dished up, after me going off on one beforehand about my friends not looking hard enough.
  14. A few weeks ago on a Friday night we were walking past the WHSmiths on Union Street, and there was a guy who was totally smashed harassing one of the beggars. This kept on for about 10 minutes, and me and the missus just stood and watched on the other side of the road - incase things got a bit out of control, and we had to give a statement. Then the beggar opened his shirt and showed the guy something, which the drunk started shouting "He's got a knife". I do feel sorry for the beggars, not because they are beggars, but because they have to put up with complete idiots later on.
  15. V for Vendetta or Watchmen could be a good starter for ten?
  16. Exactly my point, and thats why I want them to look harder. If someone thought they had lost a wallet in my house, I would turn the place upside down looking for it. Which makes me think that maybe I didn't leave it at their hosue, and it fell out someother way. Nope, no undesirables. Cancelled my cards, and good thing I renewed my drivers license yesterday as they take your old one and cut it up. All thats really missing is my Starbucks card with about £20 on it, and my Vantage card. WOO HOO excuse not to go offshore!!
  17. Nope, I left it at a friends house. And they can't find it. I'm not allowed to shout at them to look harder, so I guess I have to cancel my cards, and hope that they do find my wallet.
  18. Back on topic ; Losing my wallet and having to cancel my cards. After getting over the rage of losing my cards. I am now really gutted I lost a picture of me and my wife of when we first started dating.
  19. Nothing better than the day after Halloween, seeing folk doing the walk of shame. I saw a guy dressed as a Palm Tree walking along broadstreet at 9AM on the day after. Walk of shames are funny enough, but fancy dress ones are even better!
  20. I was trying to work out the tune that they are blowing on their soup, I think its You bring me sunshine
  21. Pay at the fag and lottery kiosk, beats standing in the Self-Checkout Queue. Especially now when some of the card machines don't work. And you feel like a fanny when there is one free, and the person behind you tries to remind you.
  22. The stupid drunk alcoholic screaming like a banshee on King Street last night at 4AM. One of our neighbours opened their window and told her to politely leave. To which she responded with booting our front door. Then she came back with a pole. Then I think she got bored, and wandered off to harass another neighbourhood.
  23. I was at Frankie and Bennys yesterday also, I had the goats cheese and mushroom Calzone. I was there at 2ish PM, were you there at the same time? If so, i may have an impromptue "spotted"
  24. I get fed up by the amount of recruitment agents who try and add me. But it is hilarious to cocktease them, get them to explain all about the job, then tell them I have only been in my current job for 4 weeks. I'm not looking for a job, if I wanted one, I would get in touch.
  25. Are they actually allowed to discriminate on sex when renting out their flats? I can imagine the furore if they tried to discriminate on race.
