  1. Yeah, sounds like it could be Forster out and Gordon in.

I'm pretty pleased for him getting a move to a top club, and if it means that he's challenging for a Scotland place then all the better.

Paul Scholes has fairly changed his tune since retirement; he used to hate talking to the media. Now he's slating Rooney and claiming that Danny Welbeck should play centre midfield to tackle Andrea Pirlo?!? Sounds like somebody is trying to fuck it all up for England. I would be ecstatic if Roy Hodgson was to take heed of what he is saying.

  2. I think McGregor has brilliant reflexes, but he is not the same class as Gordon was at his peak. There is a good reason Sunderland parted with so much money for him imo.

Boyd to the dons? I think id be happy with that. He can score goals, but im not sure he'd want to come and play second fiddle to Rooney.

I'm not saying we SHOULD change a successful system to accomodate Boyd/Rooney, but I reckon it could be done.

I'd be interested in seeing us play a 3-5-2 with Hayes/Logan playing as attacking full backs, any 3 of Anderson/Considine/Reynolds/Taylor in the centre leaving Robson/Flood/Jack to challenge for a place in a 2 man central midfield. Play Pawlett/McGinn just in behind Rooney & Boyd and there you have it; a Dons starting 11 with genuine options and competition in almost every position. Perhaps still a bit light at full back, but that's more variety/overall quality than I've seen in years from an Aberdeen side.

  3. I found it quite offensive actually apart from the family part but Brett ain't quite there yet.

I don't intend on being on your level of 'what the fuck!?' I'm loving how my arrogance has revelled up everybody! It's crazy!

    At least you've impressed yourself.

Look up the world 'revelled' and come back to us with a meaning.

  4. The junkie used to work here before. He always came in high quite a lot and fucked a lot up. He got sacked in the end and I don't know why or how he's even working again. In regard to suitability I personally think I'm doing the job well. I try my hardest when it's busy. This guy fucked up orders and that but only advantage he has is that he speaks their language and he drives.

That's a pretty good skill to have, is your job in the tandoori worth learning their native tongue as well? Probably not. Get yer McDonalds application oot.

  5. Didn't Cesc publicly criticise Mourinho while he was coach at Madrid?

I don't claim to know too much about the level of control Ahbrahmovic exerts over his managers and transfer policy, but it is likely that Maurinho didn't sanction the transfer himself?

  6. Aye, no offence intended when I say this but they can probably find any young person to work for them fairly easily; they aren't likely to give a shit if it's you or somebody else (hopefully somebody else that won't complain from their perspective). Quit and do something else, if there's a McDonalds near you try for a job there, at least then you'll have formal terms of pay and structured hours.

Alternatively, demand a wage from the management committee that you're part of, bitch slap the nearest colleague and delcare it to be your own.

  7. Do the African teams still have a tendency towards launching 35 yard pingers on goal when in acres of space? Last time I watched an Ivory Coast game, despite them being lauded as a top team, that was still happening. It's a strange phenomenon, they all seem to do it. I would love to see a shot comparison chart of the African Cup of Nations with the Euros.

Aye but when Drogba has a go it flies in the top corner EVERY TIME.

That's how we will all of our games.

Apologies, but in repsonse to your question I have no reasonable answer other than that Drogba is quite obviously a footballing God.

  8. Didn't ask for your opinion, sir. Sit back down.

Are you fucking stupid? Or just really forgetful?

So what's your views on the music of the mighty 'deen? That's my opinion, there are no right or wrong opinions here. Just wanted to hear other peoples thoughts!

My main point was suggesting that you go to gigs and search out for bands that you might like. What do you listen to? There are tonnes of bands that people on this forum could recommend based on your interests.

Also, I'm currently sitting down, just so you know.

  9. I'd take Fabregas at Manchester United, for sure. Barcelona are selling because they don't see him as valuable and want to get rid before he's worth nothing; playing him out of position has contributed to this in a big way. If he was at Man United he'd play much deeper, like he did at Arsenal, and tear the premier league a new one again. Aside from Carrick/Fletcher there isn't much competition in that area (Cleverly doesn't count due to him being pish) so he'd walk into the first team.

Arsenal, in my opinion, don't have the same need for that kind of player and should focus on buying a forward. I imagine he'll end up at Arsenal though, given back the armband too no doubt.

  10. Puma are too busy releasing their new line of dickhead boots

They don't even match. On purpose. Inexcusable. Black boots should be the law.

I saw these the other day, I wondered why everybody was wearing two different colours. Nike have released new boots that have what looks like a sock attached to them; they're bloody horrid.

Love the new Dons kit though, definitely going to buy it.

  11. Productive, but also required.

Very please we're seemingly doing proper scouting on players and acting early. With our European campaign starting in just a few weeks, we'll need to press on. Apparently Ash Taylor is excellent in FM (I've never encountered him personally).

Striker, winger and centre mid please. And a left back if there's room (Shinnie plz).

According to McInnes we can expect 2-3 more signings. Ash Taylor has over played over 200 professional games and he's only 23; this is exactly the kind of signing that we need. I initially wondered why we are bothering with another centre half but it's going to be a long season, and Aberdeen obviously need as much depth as possible to compete right until the end.

Graeme Shinnie, Paul Coutts and Calum Higginbotham are the players I'd like to see us sign.

  12.

Rumour mill columns are just the way papers like the scotsman and guardian get away with reproducing trash stories while pretending that they're actually above it all themselves. One of the worst things about footy journalism around these days.

Reporting on signings and managerial appointments should be banned until they have been officially announced.

Agreed, I hadn't actually looked into it fully before posting. I hate empty speculation, even the Evening Express is guilty of it when labelling Aberdeen transfer 'targets'.

In all seriousness though, I'd like to see Owen Coyle at Celtic; ie a manager who isn't a complete wank.
