Know you're not really looking for Hostels but can I recommend my favouorite, the Castle Rock Hostel? It's got character, situated right at the top of the Royal Mile and you're next door to the castle with some stunning views of the city. Jim started posting old playlists up on his blog. This is the first one he's posted and it's from his time at Northsound.
