Hi folks. Ok, so after all these years I finally know first hand that high action, among other things can be bad for your wrists. I was thinking of lowering the action myself, just by sanding down the saddle. Seems simple enough and I found a good website taking you through things step by step. What do you think? Easy enough to DIY or take it to the shop?

To my surprise, I found this book in my loft after reading this thread. I thought it was going to be shit cause I thought it had talking animals in it(The boy only thought it was the tiger talking in his confused tired state)Anyways, great book, I'd recommend it to anyone.

Hmm cant really answer that cause I never start with bassline or beat. Always chords or riffs that I work into chords. I don't set out to rely on standard structures, I just let it flow and do what I feel/hear is right. And it usually results in songs that have standard structures.

I heard a song I've never heard before yesterday and it mentioned cadillacs a few times. It was unmistakably the boss and I loved it from the very first chords. I used to dislike Born In The USA but once I understood that the lyrics were anti-usa suddenly I could hear it in a new light. It rocks, as does many of his other songs. Springsteen claims Born To Run was his attempt at writing the best rock and roll song ever. I must say, he comes mighty close. Superb!

I'm a huge clash fan but 'White Man' is one song that just doesn't do it for me. Good job the clash were experimental or London Calling wouldn't have been what it is.

Anways, It seems there's 2 different camps now with some folks now expecting to rip a new Georgian arsehole. Don't know why everyones so concerned with Georgia. Fair enough away game, eastern european opposition but they are SHIT. They're 2nd last in the group below Lithuania. I was very worried about Ukraine game but I think we'll beat Georgia comfortably-ish. I'm still a bit concerned though. Oh, and Shevschenko was never a pen. Most cringeworthy that I've heard recentlyish would be anything by The Feeling. But especially in the chorus of 'love it when you call' or whatever the hell it's called. As though the song isn't bad enough, then they chip in: He loves it when you call x3 But you never call at all Aaaarrrgggg!!! As cringeworthy as it gets!
