  1. Nope. Was this dude: http://www.jsonline.com/news/obituaries/charlie-hill-pioneering-indian-comic-from-wisconsin-dies-at-62-b99174952z1-238291311.html
  2. One of my 2014 picks bought the farm yesterday.
  3. Woo. If it's any consolation I spent all morning at work last Hogmanay putting my list together.

Hall of Fame reverb pedal for sale, mint, boxed, updated with the latest firmware so you can do all the toneprint stuff. You are welcome to try it out. Can deliver in Aberdeen.
  7. On the ones I played they were all sharp, sticking out the ends and unfinished. The higher end Gibsons have "nibs" so they can't get away with stuff like that. By contrast the PRS Bernie Marsden I played was flawless.
  8. Sex Pistols front man Ronnie Biggs. Also on my list.
  9. I make it 8, but there's time for more.
  10. Shut the fuck up, or you're going on the list.
  11. Joan Fontaine is an Ivan-dead-hoe. I'm on a roll.
  12. http://touch.latimes.com/#story/la-me-ray-price-20131217/ Seems he's finally gone.
  13. The Price isn't right. http://blogs.tennessean.com/tunein/2013/12/15/ray-price-country-music-hall-of-famer-dies-at-age-87/ So I think I'm due points for: Michael Weiner Nelson Mandela Ray Price
  14. Oh, and do you want to learn proper Earl Scruggs type banjo or fey Mumford and Sons mincing about?
  15. It was a joke. A good one too.
  16. Was Ben the dude who went out with one of Broken Sunshine? If so, correct, he looked like Ian Watkins.
  17. This is worth reading again: My Minds Weapon are just another band surfing on a transitory trend that will be probably be unfashionable by next year, i have seen it so many times before. You get a niche thats "in" at the moment i.e emo and trendy bands that the kids are into i.e Funeral For A Friend and if you think about it, there are probably thousands of unsigned bands in the UK at the moment who are playing that same kind of music, just like when Oasis was big there were shitloads of indie bands around and when Limp Bizkit were around there were loads of nu metal bands and when Nirvana was around there were loads of grunge bands... Its just trendhopping and it happens all the time in the local music scene here, do you honestly think that an A&R man is going to come up to Aberdeen to sign an emo band when the market for such bands is probably already saturated with countless similar-soundalike acts? And what sets My Minds Weapon apart from any emo band anywhere else? what makes them more unique and interesting than other emo bands in the whole of the UK or in Ireland?... But to be honest, from what i have heard about them, i doubt they're going to be any bigger than what they are or what they think they're gonna be because they're going to be seen as just another emo band doing the rounds, a record company isn't looking for another emo band if the market is already saturated with such bands, they're looking for something to exploit as their next niche market so they can create a trend to exploit to the consumer...

Can someone take this off my hands please, it's been sitting shipping fuck all for six months.
  19. Of course John Lennon famously sanded his Gibson J60, so I imagine this battered old entry level Yamaha will sound the same as that once it's done. Ignore the naysayers. Sand on son. Sand on.
