  1. I started by finishing other people's half finished projects. Just picked up one on eBay and finished it off. Started with this: and ended up with this: Full story here Since then, I'm doing a fretless based upon a Squier Bullet which my sister is going to decorate: w h e e e e . o r g Resurrecting a 1966 Hagstrom: w h e e e e . o r g A wide necked 5 string bass (just started) I also have obtained the wood I need to do my first one from scratch - walnut body, Bolivian rosewood neck, African padauk fingerboard. It's not too hard if you're at least a little handy with wood working and hand tools. It's a lot of fun. Best advice I can give you - be patient and use the right tools if you can!
  2. +1 for lighter fluid. Also cleans up rosewood fingerboards rather well:
  3. Hi there Got a Palm m515 for sale. Disorganised? Keep missing band rehearsals? Birthdays? This'll sort you out. Screen is unmarked and PDA functions as new. Supplied in the original packaging in good condition, some minor scratching on the back and a couple of tears in the spine of the leather cover. I'll include a 16Mb SD card to double its storage capacity. Looking for 30 for it. PM me if you're interested. Pics:
  4. I presume you mean Thunderbird? What colour is it? Any pics?
  5. I've got two spare tickets for the Franz Ferdinand gig at Moshulu on Wednesday 19th September. 20 each. PM or email neepheid @ hotmail.com if interested.
  6. Hi everyone I'm looking to get a project going, so I'm looking for a Fender or Squier Precision or Jazz bass. I'm really only after the body at this stage, so if anyone has a battered old Squier lying around unloved, or a Fender Mex with a warped/broken neck, non-functional electronics, no pickups or anything else and want rid of it, let me know. As long as the body is reasonably whole (dings aren't a problem, they'll fill). Must be Squier/Fender, to make sure that other parts will fit OK later More beat up the better, we're talking a couple of steps up from firewood here - if it's a whole bass, less temptation for me to keep it as-is wink.gif Looking to spend no more than 100 and preferrably less - it's an experiment. Anyone got anything I could use? Thanks Matt
  7. We have ended up with a spare ticket for the Download Festival in Donnington. Download Festival 2007 We're not looking to make a profit but we want costs covered, so it's face value - 155 (145 + 10 booking fee) You'll have to make your own way down, I believe there are bus tickets being sold at 1-Up. This is probably going to have to be a local (Aberdeen area) sale due to the festival kicking off in 4 days or so :-) Any takers? First come, first serve.
