  1. In essence a demo can sound as good as it needs to be for whatever purpose its used for. I wouldn't use Darkthrone as an example; we all know they used unholy powers on that cassette track
  2. 1. What gigs have you been to recently? In the last month or so Just local ones with local bands. 2. What gigs have you coming up? Only my own band ones - 3 in May. 10th w/Co-Exist and Ablach 13th and 27th 3. How do you hear about gigs? Usually posters, press, online for the majority of the time. 4. What do you think of the local music scene? (general, dont go over board!) Hit and Miss really, I only moved to Aberdeen because of the striving metal scene, right now it seems abit all over the place. Should of stayed in London! lol 5. Where do you socialise/ hang out? A place outside my flat that caters my musical enjoyment...If you know such a place...? Xbox Live - been hanging out/nude gaming since 1996 6. If it is a pub, what did you do before you were old enough? Before I was old enough I wasn't in Aberdeen 7. Do you like Aberdeen? It's compact, obviously growing still. 8. Do you think Aberdeen needs another alt. Club, pub or venue? Definetly 9. Do you feel the current ones need improved? Most definetly 10. Where do you buy your music from? Online or on the odd whim HMV 11. Where do you shop for clothes? Online
  3. Yes I thought the same thing that's why I was initially sceptic about the question because if anyone links clothing to music in a fashion/genre stance then I would have to poke them in the eye. A music questionaire should be about the music but all has been revealed about the respective question and the questionaire itself
  4. I agree with Scott to an extent but can let you off with the production as A) We know you guys did it at Cpn Toms and B) It's only a demo The vocals, lyrically aswell do nothing for me. As the chap obviously has one style of singing I don't think it works with what you are trying to achieve but none the less might so you play live and think differently! ...Or for those that have seen/heard might think Debassed have changed their style.
  5. All valid reasons I guess, just a bit vague myself! Cheers. I shall fill it in now
  6. There. A question like that feels to me it's being asked all the wrong reasons about music, I can understand questions like "where do you hang out" obviously to music it's unrelevant but it gives the lass an idea of wheres popular for music locally etc etc.
  7. As others have said, it is an odd question with no relevance to music really.
  8. Since moving to Aberdeen I havn't used it more than once, it's been sitting in my flat mainly because A) don't practice at flat B) can't move it C) Venues have their own gear D) don't want such a fine piece of gear go to waste.
  9. Yeah I see that, looks like know one knows really what they are talking about and I wanted to give my opinion on the matter but probably not worth the arse ache here.
  10. Cheers spell, have considered that if no one wants it locally!
  11. Update A few people have asked me a couple of things which I have failed to mention. 1. The head was manufactured in the States but as it was straight out from production it was made for 240V 2. I've had it for around 4-5 years now 3. The tone and punch this thing gives is relentless. 4. It's shared the stage with Idlewild, KT Tunstall, The Stranglers, Pronto, Kick and a whole wealth or various artists, 4 or 5 Festivals (I can't remember quite). So it has a bit of History!
  12. Perhaps they need to stick some more diet pills in the well to control the plumping problem.
  13. Damn I missed the discussion. Hopefully abit of a death scene will prop up abit more.
  14. Before this gets stuck on eBay I'm scouting around the local sites first as more than likely this thing will be pick up only unless someone is stupid enough to pay for the delivery for this thing. Its an Ampeg SLH 6x10 cab, 1200,has wheels and kick plate for easy transport. Pretty damn heavy so wheels are the only way to go! Also an Ampeg B-5R head, 750 watts lots of tones, an octave and overdrive selection. Comes with a rack mounted type case and I'll through in a speak-on for free aswell. It's been gigged and toured with, has a few scratchs and nearer the bottom a couple of tears. Still some stencil work from the last band/tour I was in when I used it. Initially this set me back 2600 due to it being shipped straight from Ampeg at the time of release. Now you can get both the cab and head for around 950 each. If your intrested MSN me or pm me and I will let you know how much and send photos if requested.
  15. Sorry I couldn't tell if you lads between your own conversation were actually being serious. Nevermind eh, hope your new bass amp is cool.
