Unless theres something getting in the way, I practice for at least an hour a day. Mix between just random fucking about on the piano playing nothing in particular and learning new music.

I love Randy Newman, never quite understood how hes got quite a bad rap for being shite. Or at least from tonnes of folk I know.
Land of Dreams is very good, as is Trouble in Paradise, for the most part anyway. Theres always a couple of pretty poor tunes on most of his great albums. Though, when hes good he's brilliant.
His latest (2008) Harps and Angels is definitely worth a listen too. If only for 'A Few Words in Defense of My Country' which is a brilliant song.
Another good one, albeit nothing spectacular about the album itself, is The Randy Newman Songbook Vol. 1 which is rerecordings of songs from throughout his career just him and piano. Gives you a decent idea of which albums you might like to dip in and out off.
Also, the man wrote 'I Think It's Going To Rain Today' from his first album, which is one of the best tunes ever.
Actually, his whole back catalogue (by no means brilliant, or even good across the board) is worth dipping in and out of, as theres little gems of songs throughout it all.

Third time's the charm. This will be a great album. Keep the faith.
Bon Jovi aside, its awful. I just can't imagine Rivers Cuomo doesn't think its shite. Almost sounds like hes writing for a crappy childrens tv programme.

Fuck. That.
I feel sick. That's even worse than the 7 hour free climb BBC scotland showed a few weeks ago. That had some scary moments but it was nothing compared to this.
I didn't have the volume up, did they say anything about harnesses while they're climbing or parachutes or whatever the fuck?
They mentioned that safety harnesses slowed up the whole thing and it (no harnesses) was allowed under some fuck abouty regulations.
I agree. Fuck. That.

Diarmaid in Ma's last night.
The very fact that you are the only person who ever stalks me scares me, and leads me to believe you are in fact a stalker.
-
It must've been your workmate because I was shagging your Dad from 8.21pm to 8.23pm.
2 minutes? You're improving.

Watched the Werner Herzog movie 'Aguirre The Wrath of God' tonight. Spaniard leads a bunch of others to find El Dorado and decends into madness.
I'm really not sure what to make of it to be honest.

Hot damn, that looked pretty fucking awful goddam sweet. Will you post here?
Scrolling down that page I was in no way prepared for the Scotch Mega Egg. I think I threw up a little in my mouth.
The meat baby on the other hand was absolutely banging. Second helpings nearly finished me off though. Bad move, but so fucking tasty.

I hid behind my larger mate as we walked past Diarmaid in Union Square in order to claim a proper stalk. He was stood subjecting himself to some operatic pish.
Well played sir, well played. It was the launch of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, and since I work for them thought it best to show my face, even if it was operatic pish. Though there were lovely dancers shortly before the opera. That was nice.

Anything with a little hint of Wildhearts, Clutch and Devin Townsend is most certainly worth having a listen to.
-
Saw Teabags at the beer fest last night. Proper stalk as we've never met. Had another proper stalk with Nev until he ruined it and came over and spoke.
-
So you are the quite short one with short dark hair?
Is Diarmid's profile pic just him in negative becuas the guy with the quiff last night looks like that.
Aye thats me, albeit from about four years ago. The only instance I've ever been the owner of a blue nose.

Great show last night, been ages since I've seen Teenage Fanclub and they never fail to entertain. Loving the new songs and played a lot of classics as well, highlight for me was Your Love is the place where I come from, one of my all time favourite songs!
Thought support band was great too but didn't catch their name!
Great gig last night. First time seeing the Fannies live, hopefully not the last. Support band were called Yuck as far as I remember.

Can't wait for this, going to be great. Listening to the new album to get myself in the mood.
-
This generally does it for me.

Uploaded a couple more tunes. Have a listen if you fancy.
Called 'Arthurs Thrashing' and 'Old Men in Love'
Cheers

Have the Deportees been booked for this yet?
Nope. But you never know.
-
Seconded (and I'm not in the band)
Thirded, but I am in the band.
-
I spent the middle hour watching an episode of The Wire, didn't seem to affect my enjoyment of this film at all so fuck knows what they were doing in between landing on the beach and taking the city.
Fannying about. Troy is absolutely terrible indeed.
-
I am what can only be described as boner'd up at the prospect of this gig. Can't fucking wait. Its going to be great.

It's the original 1961 pressing with the red sleeve, going on eBay for between 6 and 12. Yours for a crisp fiver.
Done and done. I'll give the cash to Ron, and he can make the transaction if that suits? Seeing as he'll easily see you without too much hassle.

Not.. sure... if... serious....
Completely serious chief. Fucking loves West Side Story me. Would be cool to have the soundtrack. How much?
-
I'd take the West Side Story soundtrack off your hands if no one else plans to.

Great gig last night. Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thought Turning 13 were especially brilliant.
