Aye, she had sprung to mind. I'll have to introduce myself and see what she thinks. At the moment I'm good for viola. Though if that fails i'll no doubt take you up on the offer.

Trying to find a cellist to play some session stuff on some upcoming recordings. Would be playing along with violins and viola. As well as the rest of the band. (guitars, percussion, piano, vocals, brass). (Pop-rock, divine comedy/roger joseph manning jr./new pornographers...)
Interested give me a pm.
Cheers

He should stick to bands with 1/2 guitars, bass, drums, vocal only. That's what he knows.
Well my recording sessions with him will be fun. Heading up there with guitars, strings, brass and percussion.
Will be interesting to see how it all works out.
On the CD though, was it not planned to be released as a free download on here? I'd read that on his myspace?

Possibly one of the worst movies I've paid money to see. When the best actor in a movie as star studded as indiana jones is an inanimate crystal skull you've got problems.
Great advert for fridges though...

Maybe I've found a niche.

Just put some songs up for a new side project of mine. Just some rough demos (without said band) but if anyone wants to head overand have a listen.

I was intrigued as to how the acoustic was going to work. Was looking forward to it. But who can complain at rock!

Any one here a violinist or know a violinist that would be interested in doing some playing in a new project I'm putting together. Planning to do a regular set of recordings throughout the year and the odd live gig with the gigs tailored to whose available. Got brass players, singers, guitarists etc sorted but can't get hold of any violinists. Bizzarely been much easier to get violists and cellists, but i do know them.
If any one would be interested or wants to know a bit more let me know by giving me an email at mightymightyaphrodites@hotmail.com
Cheers

Got to feel a wee bit sorry for Johnny Skyscraper. Unless of course they are indeed absolute guff and thoroughly deserved it.

Yeah, it keeps record of listeners the entire time so its easy enough to find out listeners for particular shows.

Just about to start reading Mark Everetts book, 'Things the grandchildren should know'. Which judging by mister everett should be a pretty decent read. If not very good.

Just recieved a cd of a gig we did last week that was recorded at the tunnels. However, its all on the one track. So instead of having one 30 minute track is there any way to separate it down into the separate songs?
Any help would be appreciated.

Fantastic band that has become something else with the corpse of Freddy M being repeatedly raped.
On that topic, Dick Valentine dancing on the grave of faroq (ed) bulsara attempting to sing radio gaga. One of the most horrendous and tasteless rapings of mercury yet.

Brian May playing the national anthem on top of Buckingham Palace summed them up for me
I have to agree that that was fucking horrific.

Just thought I'd say that i think this is quite possibly one of the greatest pop songs written. Also, easily one of the best songs Queen ever did. Pure pop tastic bliss. Someone may well disagree but the final chorus is harmonius genious.
Any one hate queen? Always wondered, there seems to be quite a few bands that most people wouldn't be adverse to listening too. Even the ones who say they don't like or that the band are shit would still sing a long. Beatles, Queen, Abba (scoff if you will but i think some of there stuff is fucking awesome, though in fairness it is quite easy to find people who hate Abba).
In fact i've only ever had one person tell me that they Hate Queen.
Any one out there who really does hate all the stalwarts of old?
I love good pop music.

You know, you think i would have noticed that. Obviously not. My bassoon shall reamin untouched poor soul. Numpty.

I was advised by my parents not to play a string instrument when the time came. I believe they were fed up with it having two elder siblings both playing violin/viola. So i played Bassoon instead. Despite not playing it much any more its technicaly my main instrument. Statrted playing when i was in primary seven.

I watched Casino at the weekend, quickly followed by Night Watch. Casino, despite being Scorseses Goodfellas part 2, is brilliant, but night watch is ok at best in my oppinion. I love foreign films but it wasn't all that great to be honest. Though the way it ended means i'm going to have to watch day watch now aswell.

How many more of these polls have we got to go Brian?
