  1. having been to a few imp events that is blatant exageration, Mike of imp will only shoosh people who continually make a continuous racket to the detriment of the 99% of people who are genuinely "into the entertainment". Perhaps people talk all the way through your tribute band's set because its all been done before in 1977. Personally I would never go & see a tribute or covers band, because there is soo much amazing & interesting music to discover, some of which is now coming to Aberdeen, via open minded promotors who are not stuck in a time warp rut. back to the great news of ariel pink & belong coming to Aberdeen well done imp
  2. & I can't wait for this event either well done imp
  3. For a massive Smiths/Mozzer family member, who has seen the Smiths twice 84/86 but not the moz...... please pm me if you have one spare
  4. alan's gigs never rock, they are far too laid back (in the nicest possible way to rock)
  5. another product of the "lets advertise heavily in the press hype"...... her management are copying Tunstall template. yawn
  6. as well as being unmissable, its a regulars free event & even if you have to pay, Maher Shalal Hash Baz are worth the entry fee alone.
  7. great night all round, one of the friendliest & enthusiastic audiences at a gig iv'e been to for a long time, looked well over a hundred there. Thee More Shallows were awesome & the EP is great nice one

  17. aberdeen is really bad for eating out & apart from tapas in cafe 52, can't think of one place that inspires maybe have to try the sushi, or hope a Polish deli/diner opens up soon
  18. Yes that was a fantastic gig & they just sound soo different to anything else look forward to seeing them again
  19. I've never heard of Project: Venhell but I'm listening to new album 'Ifeelbackwhatthey'relookingatmefor" and its tremendous fun. I've just opened the inlay card of the CD and it just says 'Nothing.' It's Genius. If this lot ever give up music they could be art terrorists or comedians. Unfortunately I'm listening to this at home, the baby is asleep and the missus wants to watch Desperate Housewives in a minute so I'm not able to listen to the whole thing. From what I've heard the vocals are nicely distorted and there are some aggressive, speaker shredding riffs and tight arrangements on this here 8 tracker of uncompromising punk rock. Apparently they're from Aberdeen. They're well up for it this week these jocks like ;0) In conclusion: Music to wake the baby and piss off the missus. On Valentine Bitch records.
