  9. Introducing... Stricken City Single Lost Art out now on ACTH Recordings. Check them out and see what you think. www.myspace.com/strickencity Brilliant video for Lost Art watch it Here Buy Here if you like: Itunes Roughtrade "Insanely catchy, ramshackle post-punk pop" - THE GUARDIAN "Typically magnificent... playful percussion and beguiling melodies that stick in your head from first listen. What a treat" - THE FLY "As perfect as breezy indie pop gets. Lead singer Rebekah Raa's sweet alluring unpredictable melodies will surely put a spring in your step. Irresistible" - ARTROCKER "Impossibly pretty" - UNCUT "Disco meets scuzzy garage-guitars in this blissful dancefloor filler-in-waiting" - NME "A beautiful cacophony which combines singer Rebekah Raa's accomplished voice with an intriguing instrumental arrangement" - THE SUN "The hurtling, hands-in-the air Lost Art confirms just how special this band are. SC fashion something fresh and pretty much perfect." - THE SUNDAY TIMES Aberdonian manager and bass player too Hope you like. .

  11. 20 and 21 ish if I remember correct.
  12. Moshulu, Music Hall, The Lemon Tree, Forum are ones which you need to cover most of the expenses. Your right Drummonds & Tunnels you dont and its good that they dont as it results in cheap, good, local gigs a pleanty. I agree with you about it being of little interest to venues to put on 14+ at a weekend. As i mentioned before. I also agree with the adults not wanting heaps of youngsters about on a weekend. To a promoter who is only relying on door money: A 15year olds 5 is as good as a 30 year old 5. "promoting to underagers is simply a lazy option" - Not true and you must bear in mind that most 14+ gigs (for example the Dan Vs Pip and LOTP gigs I am prommoting) are requested/demanded by the bands themsleves...not the promoter. -
  13. Yeah your right. Its rare to pay for the inhouse PA (but it does happen) and the Tunnels do offer a great hire deal at 50. Some venues you have to pay for the lot eg Music Hall, Forum. Thats clearly a different level of gig. Moshulu & The Lemon Tree you pay for security and Sound dude as part of your hire fee.
  14. Dem are the breaks dude. Veunes have to abide by the rules and do whats best for their business. There's no real financial benefit to a venue to let under 18s in. They cant buy drink (even if they could a 18+ with a FT job has more to spend) and its the promoter (unless its inhouse) who takes the door. It just the way it goes. If your lookin to putting on gigs at a weekend & the usual options are a no go. Why not put them in a venue that doesn't sell booze? .
  15. Advance tickets are now SOLD OUT. A limited amount of tickets will be available on the night @ 9pm. First come, first served.
  16. Please excuse the awful grammar and spelling in the "blab". Wrote it whilst tripping from sleep deprivation and jet lag. Wont let me edit it for some reason...bugger.
  17. Advance tickets available from One Up, Earl Of Sandwich and Ticketweb SHITDISCO (Dj Set) www.myspace.com/shitdisco Joel, Tom and Joe will be there on the turntables. Well renowned for they're djing skills, legendary partys and club nights before the bands sucess; Shitdiscos Dj set shenanigans have seen them booked all over the worlds such as Tokyo, Barcelona, Berlin, Kuala Lumpur (yes Kuala Lumpur!), Sydney etc. Haunted House Party (Live!) www.myspace.com/hauntedhouseparty Steev from Errors and Tom from Shitdiscos side project. Amazing, live electro dance madness. We're very lucky to have them as they're are both so busy with there respective bands that they don't get much time to hit the road as HHP. Played the very first ACTH Abdn back in Nov 07 and they were brilliant. Great to have em back. Findo Gask (Live!) www.myspace.com/findogaskuk Let the quotes do the talking: "Groovetastic awesomeness added to dreamy sparklerock, topped off with singer Gerards unexpectedly angelic voice" - Diskant "[Va Va Va is] one of the year's strangest and most sublime singles." - The Sunday Times "Music both sublime and bumping." - Sunday Herald "Perfect celestial pop." - Guardian -
