The Beach; especially Don est/Murcar/Bod side (We're the only major city in Scotland with a beach...and a really good one at that! Why are we not better know for it? We have amazing coast lines here. Ok its not exactly warm but its still ace. Mind you the crap that has been allowed to built on the 'main' beach here is an embarrassment.) Fittie Duthie Park / Ferryhill. Coldplay, have a few good tunes, but they suffer from over saturation and being hugely sucessful... which automaically turns people against them. Scouting For Girls are pish though. -

Little Boots, aka Victoria Hesketh, has since gone on be proclaimed "the future" by pretty much every writer, dj and industry head in the land. As a result she has earned the prestigious title of BBC SOUND OF 2009 (previous title holders include 50 Cent & Adele). A recent Jules Holland appearance and gracing many a magazine cover (Fader,NME, Guardian etc) has all added fule to the hype fire. But it aint just hype as there's substance in abundance. This Lovey Blackpudian lady who's a self professed "synth-geek" makes proper pop music with heat, soul, electronica, stylophones (yes stylophones) and beats. Its glorious stuff.
