  1. We require P/T bar staff for the summer and possibly longer. You will have: - Common Sense - Cocktail Experience - A Nice Smile - An Outgoing Personality You will not: - Think that Liquid is the greatest club on Earth - Or that a "Voddie, Coke nae ice min" is an acceptable drink (in fact that applies to potential customers too) With some of our experienced bar staff leaving us (sob!), you will need to take their place - and make us forget about them! The hours are approx. 10 - 15 per week and the pay is 5.50 per hour, plus you keep your own tips (minus a 95% management cut). If this is you, please email gomes@clubsnafu.com for details of our open day...

  9. Friday Girls On Top featuring Jo-D and Hooker Barbie A pastiche of house, electro and tech-house sounds start the Snafu weekend. 10pm - 3am Saturday The Deep End Presents...TROUBLE DJ's Trouble has always been about going beyond the average club play-lists and the restrictions in the 'music policies' that Nineties clubbing/DJing brought, to revitalize an approach much more common before, when decent clubs were few and far between and often tended to be, quite simply, good parties in unusual, wee locations (like a basement bar on the corner of the street!). Thus, the music at Trouble can be anything from across the 'black' musical spectrum to the output of all the white 'brothers and sisters' who feel the funk and have got a good groove. This includes the classic dub, reggae, soul, funk, jazz, Afro, Latin and disco of the Seventies, early hip hop, electro, boogie and house from the Eighties, the stand-out dance moments of the last decade and the most exciting, upfront new nuggets, whether in hip hop, R n B, dancehall, soul, broken beat, jazz, house, techno, Brazilian or drum n bass. We're very open-minded about our tunes! And, since the music is constantly evolving and changing, at Trouble we just like to call it all 'freestyle'. Trouble :: www.getintotrouble.com 10pm - 3am Free entry before 11pm all weekend (girls free before 12am on Friday) Drink offers pre-11pm also!

  17. Snafu is the best club for house music in Aberdeen. Our Saturday resident, Funky Transport, has recorded for a host of top labels including Classic, Playhouse and Ralph Lawson's 20:20 Vision. He's also just signed to Farris Wheel (Gene Farris' imprint). We're open at 10pm tonight. Check out our Myspace (www.myspace.com/snafuaberdeen) for a who's who of special guests. Make sure you make it along for Lil Louie Vega at the end of the month - if you like house, then Vega (Masters At Work) is one of the pioneers in this field. For hiphop, check out Radio Skool (also at Snafu) on the last Friday of this month. Special guest is Sandra Melody who's guested on productions by Diplo and Bugz in the Attic, amongst others. Enjoy your month in Aberdeen! :: WELCOME TO SNAFU ::
