  1. Brann Dailor isn't bad although I wouldnt put him up with some of these guys, I definately like him far more than the likes of Jordison. as far as drummers in that area of music go he aint too shabby. As I read this I was listening to some Mastodon.

  2. The part where Michael goes on at length how he would kill a guy he knew with a military helicopter;

    Alan :"Who's Tom?"

    Michael:" Oh, just a mate!"

"Access to the kids, but they don't wanna' see me."

"I fancy a chill-out room, beanbags and stuff."

"Didn't know you were a raver Alan."

    "I'm not, I'm straight."

"Statistically two of you are gay, so, rubber up!"

"Michael!? you threw a monkey into the sea because it ate your cigarettes?"

"Well, it bounced off a rock first like."

"Think I will pop round to the BP garage for a mushroom slice"

"Michael you're hanging around with a man who uses a collective term for a singular object!"

Hello Alan we're the tax people"

    "No you're not"

    "Yes, we are."

    "Oh come in then!"

"I have something to admit, while my legs were behind my head I released a short but potent gust, I apologise in advance in case it registers; because it is out there."

"Excuse me; I think we have a guy violating the denim in the bar rule, chap of a bout five."

    the boy gets thrown out.

"Get you on the old jeans rule? Nazis!

"Lynn, you make me sound like I had a nervous breakdown."

    "You did."

    "I know, but..."

I made my own Alan partridge sketches, I talk like this man, I think I am obsessed. So many more quotes

  3. "Michael, don't you have a spoon?"

"Err there's on in the bathroom, but I have no use for it."

"Anything can happen on live television - I have just shot a man. This is me, Alan Partridge knowing you, The Police, Ahaaa!"

"If it weren't for those telescopic dampeners the house would have wobbling like, an very rude house...

I say telescopic dampeners, I mean rigid stays."

"He said he laughed so hard he had Kenco coming out of his nostrils, then that made me laugh...

    But my nostrils were clear."

So many nights wasted giving Partride Quotes.

  4. Erm' date=' less of the condescending, muso-intelligenzia shite please. I'm not a huge metal fan, but if you dont think Joey Jordison has "real talent", you frankly dont know your subject. These guys dont "rely" on a double kick to sound good - btw Travis doesnt use one too often - they use it because its a cornerstone of the style they play. Joey Jordison is probably among the best players around these days....maybe he cant play jazz worth a shit, but then again, I doubt Buddy Rich could have played on Iowa either...does that make Buddy crap?

OK rant over...my favourite 3 are:

    1. Vinnie Colaiuta

    2. Horacio Hernandez

    3. Jimmy Chamberlin

Ask me tomorrow and i'll say something different. Honourable mentions also go out to Buddy Rich, Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, Steve Gadd, John Bonham, Dave Weckl, Neil Peart, Tony Royster Jr, Dennis Chambers, Steve White, Steve Smith, Virgil Donati, Chad Smith...the list goes on.[/quote']

I also have to disagree; Joey is good, but certainly not one of the best players around today. Your list at the end there is very good, they are some of the better players around today. As another also said when it comes to kick-speed in metal and all that, Joey can easily be beaten. On a sidenote, the new guy, George Kolias, that plays for Nile seems quite decent. I heard him warming up at 250 bpm on another forum. Nice stuff.

  5. whats wrong with travis?

I personally think that there are far greater players than him, in most areas of playing.

He's not shit, but listen to some of th eotehr names in this thread like Chambers, Colaitua, Beauford, Donati, Weckl......

    They are insanely good.
