  1. It's not real, I photoshopped it and tossed Chris off in return for him saying he saw it.
  2. This just sounds like an even shitter version of that Get Cape guy. No new ideas, bland and bad name. Sorry, not my thing at all. I can picture alot of people liking it though.
  3. Historicrocker, your posts are complete nonsensical word vomit and yet you somehow give the impression that you truly believe what you are writing is of great intelligence. It's really annoying.
  4. Ok... I don't get it though, what do you want?
  5. My listening process of Animal Collective normally goes something like this... 1st listen - What the hell just happened? 2nd listen - Ah, ok. It was a song, by a band. 3rd listen - Hmm, this is pretty cool actually...! 4th listen - FUCK, WHY ARE THERE ONLY 9 TRACKS ON THIS ALBUM!!!??? Strawberry Jam doesn't disappoint, the progression into more electronic based music puts a whole new spin on The Animal Collective's unique sound. As you'd expect the album is full of the most brilliantly weird melodies you'll ever hear which take a while to grow on you but are worth the wait. Listening to this album has made me fall in love with the band all over again. Thank god for The Animal Collective. Highlights include tracks 1,2,3,4,5,7,8 and 9. 6 is just a loop with a deep voice speaking over it, I haven't quite got it yet. Sorry, I'm not very good about writing about stuff. You should get this album though.
  6. Read that back to yourself again. Buying one of those t-shirts out of dislike for the trend would probably be a bit alanis morrisette.
  7. Fuck, I've got work in the morning - might have to pull an all nighter. Wait, does the internet stay there if you turn your computer off?
  8. Infact this whole site is amazing, why has it never been brought to my attention before? Blogotheque: Take Away Shows!
  9. Video #41 - Arcade Fire - Neon Bible & Wake Up - Arcade, Fire, Olympia, Paris, live - Dailymotion Share Your Videos
  10. Two amazing albums by Modest Mouse. What has always annoyed about them though is how everyone seems to prefer The Moon and Antartica and it is often proclaimed to be "the perfect album". I just don't get it, I find the album drags at points and lacks the punch and variety of The Lonesome Crowded West. As much as I'd love to launch in to a rant comparing the lyricism and deeper song meanings, I can't because I'm not clever enough. I know that at the time of writing each album the mood of the band was different. During TLCW they were on a high and this reflects in some songs through the sort of humorous, story-telling style. While during writing TM&A if I remember correctly the band had been plagued with the death of close friends and the lyrics have a darker, pessimistic feel - just brings me down a bit. (I might have made that up i'm just speaking from memory, and it's not very good(thanks drugs)). On TLCW every song is a belter, there are so many head bobbin, nae! Head bouncing grooves and countless fat riffs that you just don't hear from any other band. It's without a doubt the best driving album ever. Hope I made some sense. I'm just curious to see other people's opinions on the matter. Do it.
  11. Yeah, I agree with that. The IT Crowd is hard to watch, although I don't think Chris Morris had any part in the writing. Lester Burnham, check out amazon marketplace.

  14. Infact, Nathan Fake is quite similar and is really amazing as well.
  15. Funny you should mention Booka Shade was just playing in my work. Can't really think of anything that similar to The Field other than some minimal techno shit, there's wads of it on the go just now. It's been slated by some techno snobs for it's apparent ease to produce. The leaders in the minimal game are Ricardo Villalobos or Richie Hawtin. Not that similar but they've got the same progressive vibe. In other electronic ways you must get Fujiya and Miyagi's -Transparent Things, it's unbelievable.
  16. Yeah it's really good. I find sometimes I try and listen to it and it's too much (generally about 8am on the way to work) and other times i listen to it and you enter a trance like state and there's nothing else you'd rather listen to (generally about 8am when the party's just ending).
