  1. Both were amazing in their own right, and they made one of the best Guitar duos ever. Cacophony anyone?
  2. See I don't agree? I much prefer Dragon's Kiss to Perpetual Burn. And his later compositions like Perspective, which although are fantastic, I still think Marty one-ups him again with Scenes and Introduction.
  3. Nah. Becker had the edge technically (just), but Friedman is more original and as I've said his phrasing is more unique. I do like Becker though, real shame about him developing ALS so young. P.S. Wanna buy my Perpetual Burn CD? haha (or is that a stupid Q, as you prolly have it already)
  4. Yeah that one was better. Still a bit weedly weedly for my tastes, but not bad. The only intrumental Guitar music I really dig is Marty Friedman's solo stuff. The man has a gift. You heard much?
  5. That's some insane playing, but who would actually want to listen to that?
  6. I think "what's your 5 favourite guitarists" would have been a better title, I can see a massive slagging match on the brink here haha. My faves: Marty Friedman (ex - Megadeth) - His phrasing is very tasteful Mick Mars (Motley Crue) - Straight up Rock N' Roll prestige Angus Young (AC/DC) - Legend, low tech, yet amazing! Slash (ex - Guns N' Roses / Velvet Revolver) - See Mick Mars Keith Nelson (BuckCherry) - Riff machine Edit: OMFG I can't believe I forgot about one of my very favourite players, Angus Young!!!! So Tracii Guns will be moved out of the top 5 (he'd make my top 10 though) and duely replaced by the boy Angus!
  7. It is a bit, but I'd do it too - so I can't comment haha
  8. There's a clip on the myspace page. But it's basically good time Rock N' Roll ala' the Crue, Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver etc etc
  9. Dragstrip Ragdolls currently need a frontman / woman to complete the existing line-up. We have original materil written, with gigs and contacts waiting. If interested at all, drop me a PM, drop a message by our myspace, or email to: Dragstrip Ragdolls Email Cheers, Andy Myspace: Dragstrip Ragdolls Myspace
  10. I have a rare mint copy of this CD. I don't listen to it very often, anyone want to make me an offer? Andy
  11. The G3 version wasn't half as bad as I expected after all the above comments. I don't quite see how it was just a wank fest? If you knew anything about Vai or Satch, you'd realise that this was pretty mild for them. Malmsteen was guilty of over endulging, but overall, it wasn't anything that bad?
  12. I might be up for this. Playing Guitar & Bass 5 years. PM me ~Andy
  13. Agree with the above 100%
  14. I believe everyone has a right to practice their beliefs, but I also think there is a time and place for it. Dress as you like in your free-time, but I believe in the work place uniformity is the way to go. I do however believe that wearing a veil only promotes your own isolation and discrimination from society. I personally don't like Veils, for a couple of reasons. 1) I think they are a symbol of oppression. The veil isn't actually an integral part of the Islamic faith, but rather something introduced to keep women in their place. It promotes inequality. If you go with the idea that the veil is a symbol of fidelity, then why do Islamic men not wear them? 2) When you put something between your face and another person's, it creates a barrier. I don't care what anyone says, this is fact. Facial expressions are how we intrepret much of our social interactions. Taking that away creates an uneasiness. ~Andy
  15. *Bump* P.S. Did I mention we're ace? Andy
  16. Although a lovely bloke, he didn't work out.
  17. I've seen a couple of neds wearing glasses actually. Hope that clears that myth up. Andy
  18. I thought it was 90? Have they always been 80? Ah either way, it went for 35, so I think that was a fair enough deal either way. Andy
