I had a chance to have a blast with a Peavy Valve King not so long ago. Have to report, I was well impressed. I was sceptical about the price as well, but they sound fantastic I even compared it to a Marshall DSL stack. I'm planning on buying the 50W head as soon as I'm not skint. Andy

I dunno, I had mixed feelings. I did enjoy it, but at the same time I did leave a little dissappointed. It just felt a little flat. The characters weren't fleshed out enough and it just didn't have the charm of the original. I just hope the 3rd one delivers. ~Andy

I'm looking into staining my transparent black-top guitar red, then putting a glossy sort of finish to it. I don't have the first clue how to go about it. Can anyone give me advice on how I'd do it, or recommend the best place to have it done professionally? Cheers Andy

I just do what I wanna do, and if I just play to the sound guy, so be it "It just grips my shite when I see someone slagging off the other type of bands off. Namely guys from an original band slagging of cover bands." I'm not slagging covers bands man, I just said, I don't think the best starting point for a band (I should have maybe said: band intending to do original material), is to start with covers. Andy

I don't mind the sound of the clips, but I'm not sure if it sounds half as good as his last effort: Music For Speeding. I'll reserve judgement until I get it though. Andy
