  1. the agent orange LP was there (with a case) too...

the cover is a big C-130 with "army dudes" hanging out the side with machine guns' date=' if you like yer 80's metal, agent orange would be up your street too...[/quote']

Aye, that's the one I bought. Very fucking good indeed I have to say.

  2. and they were in the "accursed jumble of sleeveless nonsense" !

I'll have a crack at that when there are less people in (ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho)

Haha, you are also a bastard. I'm confined to weekends or Thursday nights- the busiest fucking times of all! Jesus, I hate education.

  3. its on till october ive been told. Ive managed to get myself

Sonic Youth-Screaming Fields of Sonic Love

    Sonic Youth-Confused Is Sex

    Alkaline Trio-Maybe I'll Catchy Fire

what has happened to all the sleeves though?

Haha, you bastard! Why didn't I find anything like that?

  4. Right' date=' I definetly need to buy that mag! I've only been playing guitar since March so I can't play much more than the intro to Hanger 18...Return to Hanger is easy though :p

I think I've managed to work out a little of "Blackmail the Universe" , I can't play it fast enough though X_X

    [/quote']

A good easy Megadeth tune to have a go at is She Wolf. It was the first one I learnt in full and even the solo at the end is easy enough if you put in a little practice. I recommend going for the CD version and not the one on the live CD/DVD, since that version goes fucking nuts and they change it all and put in a drum solo etc.

  5. AH! What a brilliant album, I can't get enough of it! I'm glad Mustaine is back with Megadeth, although I'm surprised to see that David Ellefson isn't in the band's line-up.

It's a little difficult, they're all suing eachother. Anyway, was anyone as disappointed as I was to see that in this month's Total Guitar, the tab for Hangar 18 stops abruptly in the middle of the big guitar stand off type thingee. Like, how fucking frustrating is that! Not that I'd probably manage it anyway, but still..........

  6. Too late now anyway, I've ordered the Superheroes album. Thanks though, if I like that one, I'll probably maie your recommendation next on the list. They cost so fucking much though- damn imports.

  7. All tuitional videos/CD's etc are great, even if they aren't intending to be funny. It's like the first time they show you the riff, you're like "woo, I can play this, I might do well here!", and then it comes......"then we just speed it up a little...." *makes high pitched 100 note a second twiddly noise* "......Jesus fuck."

  8. Boggy Depot is pretty good though I wouldn't say it's as good as anything AIC did. There are some really good tracks though. Have you heard Degredation Trip Volumes 1&2 Double CD? It's darker then Boggy Depot with out being overly heavy. A really great double album. I wouldn't bother with the single CD version as you'd be missing out on a lot.

Hang on, I didn't know there was a 2 disc edition! What do they give you on the second disc? Is it worth buying if I already have the single disc version. And yes, Boggy Depot didn't carry the heavy element of Alice in Chains whereas Degradation Trip did, in parts. He's a great musician though, I couldn't see him ever doing something bad, or even mediocre.

Oh, and to answer the thread, my last purchase was a Killing Joke vinyl last Saturday.

  9. 4-track cubase samples? You don't have a clue what you are talking about. Like I said' date=' you and the people posting in this forum are kids, with kids taste in music, end of story. You aren't funny, you are just naive.[/quote']

And you are just an asshole my friend.

I apologise for not being constructive or anything, but this thread is just getting stupid.

  10. yes' date=' I have listened to several black atom tracks, including one off their new cd, and frankly I am unimpressed. The style is dated and unimaginative, and while some of them may be "talented" musicians, frankly they lack creativity and are not making good use of their talent. As far as I can see, their imagination extends as far as writing emulations of late 80's cock-rock.

Maybe they could have a career in rock kareoke.[/quote']

From what I've heard, Black Atom don't lack creativity at all. Their music is progressive, meaning that loads of thought has to go into it, they have melody, unlike a lot of other open note buzzsaw merchant band, and they use the 3 guitar set up wisely, which can be very fucking difficult to do. I also don't see the purpose of calling their material (or any band's for that matter) dated, because if people enjoy it, no one gives a shit if it sounds like the '80s or whatever. Of course, we're all entitled to criticise etc. but that doesn't stop me wanting to slap your face with some kind of wet fish repeatedly for talking such utter shite.

    NEIGH!
