With the influences given, I could probably have a go at some lead for you, although the stuff I like is a bit more to the metal end of things. PM me or add me on MSN at kev_smeghead@hotmail.com if you're interested.

Should have added "or reply to this thread" on the end. Ah well.

Inexperienced(ish) Guitarist Available.
Right, I'm a guitarist, been playing for just over a year now. I'm 16 years old and some of my favourite bands include: Megadeth, Testament, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and a lot more stuff I won't bore you with, but I'd be open to playing most styles of music. Looking for other musicians (bassist, drummer, second guitarist?, then maybe vocals) or existing band of roughly the same experience and ability as myself. Probably not aiming for anything serious at the moment, but it would definitely be worthwhile practising with and learning off other people rather than my CD collection. So um, yeah, my MSN ID is kev_smeghead@hotmail.com so feel free to add me for more details if you're interested, or send me a PM on here and I'll usually respond pretty quickly.

Haha, that's *ace*! *salutes you*

Do Addicted To Chaos have any resemblance to Megadeth then? Or is it just a name?

It appears to be working for now, but it's been on and off since yesterday for me, apparently earlier for some. Hopefully it'll stay on now.

"Degredation Trip"...
Think about it!
I agree with that one!

Popped into One Up on Saturday to have a look- didn't think too much to be honest. I wouldn't say they were awful, but I can't say I loved it either, although it was only one song........so I can't make a full judgement I suppose.

Pantera- Cemetary Gates
Diamond Head- The Prince

Arse Destroyer

Just got home from Kef- 'twas my first full 'proper' atom gig and I have to say I was very fucking impressed! One of the support bands was rather terrible, but credit to them for going up there at all I suppose. But yeah, Black Atome ruled! As did Riscatonia. Hopefully the first of many Atom gigs for me.

you're playing on my birthday
And mine, woo!

Yup, just getting ready to go- should be very cool.

A band I'd love to see live, but probbly won't manage so fuck it.

As the title suggests. I reckon:
Led Zeppelin
Jimi Hendrix
Rolling Stones
Metallica
Stone Roses
Queens of the Stone Age
The Strokes
White Stripes
Soundgarden
Sex Pistols
and Oasis (this thread was inspired by all the nostalgic rubbish about them at the moment)
Hendrix and Soundgarden? In the immortal words of Kev: "Aye OK, fuck off min radge!"

Ah, Halloween is over rated.

i like megadeth's cover of paranoid
They also did an impressive version of Anarchy in the UK. One I really like is Pantera's cover of Planet Caravan by Sabbath.

Ah, Scuzz plays some good stuff occasionally, especially on the Antiques Rockshow. I'm not that into music channels, but I hope it doesn't get fucked around with too much.

Can anyone point me towards some professional ones they know of? I know it's important to develop your own habits etc. but I'm looking for pointers to possibly model it on. Thanks.
