  1. Ok, since I was in a club till 6.30am last night (this morning), I shall post a Five For Today on the basis of what one can expect in a Spanish discotheque. AND a hot Iberian lass inquired, upon looking intently at my resplendant tshirt, what means "British Sea Power". Life just doesn't get any better

    1. Just Like Heaven - The Cure

    2. This Charming Man - The Smiths

    3. Do You Want To? - Franz Ferdinand

    4. Destroy Everything You Touch - Ladytron

    5. Kung Fu - Ash

"Will Nature make a man of me yet?"

  2. she bangs the drums - the stone roses

how soon is now - the smiths

    the fly - u2

If I was allowed to post my opinion on this thread, I would wholeheartedly agree with this choice. Spot on, Delboy. However, as Steve Temple said, the concept of the solo is decadent, useless and dangerous.

  3. I remember when Hookers Green played with Robocop Kraus in Camden a couple of years ago for a Drowned in Sound night' date=' they were really nice guys, but had to cancel the rest of their tour because of a death in the family. It'd be lovely to see them do well this year...[/quote']

    I'm VERY jealous now.

  4. Narc ~ i`m no longer booking Moshulu i`m afraid.

Ah right. I knew you'd gone to King Tut's on a free transfer, but though perhaps you may have remained Chief Scout for Moshulu too. Not to worry, I'd go to Glasgow to see them. You could at least show them where Aberdeen is on an AA Road Map of Britain 2006, though

  5. 8' date=' The Robocop Kraus

    [/quote']

They're already big in the Fatherland, Steve. Every German I've spoke to here says that they are the best AND best-known, German group that there is. They've been around for a few years, though they should recieve kudos across here, because the time is ripe for it

  6. 07.The Maccabees

I hope you're gonna get them to come to Moshulu, Ross - they are a great band. Believe it or not, one of my English friends that I have in Sevilla was in the year below Felix White, a member of the group, and let me hear them. And he also lives next door to the swimming pool that forms the basis of their soon-to-be smash hit, "Latchmere". Which has the most magnificent lyric: "I came out of the changing rooms and nothing had changed"

As for my tips, being in Spain has left me cruelly out of date. I can only put forward Forward, Russia! and Boy Kill Boy as the two that I would like to see make it into the big time. As well as Beton Brute, because time's tide is smothering us.
